Nobody has escaped. Both the DW and I really like the splash pullet -- she's very curious. They and the older birds I got from CCG are all getting along very well. They are all in a 6x8 coop with a run size of about 32x18.

Glad to hear that no body has escaped! lol Also glad to hear that the little splash pullet is doing well. Would love to see how she turns out when fully grown!

Ive decided to hold onto the Splash cockeral, and I supose possibly the black AM as well. But we will see how he developes. My main focus is still the Wheatons! Love the way they are turning out. Nice solid birds.

My friends sister is an RN and went into the hospital for severe abdominal pain and came out with a full term baby boy! I don't get it, how can you not know? She's also pushing 50.

Pushing 50 she probably assumed the changes were due to menopause. I know another woman who made that assumption. It was their first child. imagine what a life change that was!

This was her first child as well. he is 10 now, and mom moved back in with her parents for help (knowledge rather than financial help). It took me a while to discover I was pregnant with DD because it seemed I kept bleeding - turns out it was because I had placenta previa, but it was my reaction to the smell of eggs that confirmed the pregnancy for me.

Thank you. I've been sleeping a lot. My legs & back are super-sore. I feel like I ran a marathon....the nurse said it's from the contractions... I'm also retaining A LOT of water.

My ankles cannot swell any more without splitting open, I don't think. My hands & face are also puffy.

Hey guys....I'm back....no baby.
sad.png
He did an ultrasound and checked, checked and re-checked the fluid around the baby (he said he was trying to make an excuse for getting her out early!)

But it was perfect.

My doctor checked me again.... 80% effaced but no change in dilation.

He said I must be "miserable" because she's so darn low in my pelvis. I told him yes.

We're still set for a c-section on the 16th unless she comes before then.

He explained that babies who are not born vaginally don't get the fluid squeezed out of their lungs as well....so the longer they can keep her in there the more mature and strong her lungs will be....I'm okay with that...I just hope she makes it until then now--because I don't want to deal with the contractions and stuff again.

On a funny note--as he was checking the amniotic fluid he looked confused...and then he said--that baby must have the most hair I've ever seen--that's not fluid....he showed me the picture and you could actually see squiggles around her head!

I told him that when I was born, I had hair like one of those troll dolls...and the doctor said--like mother, like daughter!
