Hi Selena,
You made me laugh. I think all of us in healthcare have those stories. I don't think we could put all the stories on BYC (probably get asked to leave). Had a friend get her arm broken, like a pencil, by a frail elderly man. And a few years ago I had to stop a psych pt. from chugging his 3rd, 33oz, cup of boiling hot coffee. I didn't get to him fast enough to stop the first 2. I've never called security or nsg so fast. He was just fine, I was sure he'd have 2nd or 3rd degree burns. I'll have to pay attention to the moon closer and see if I see a pattern. Back in the old days when I worked in nsg homes, the residents seemed to get a more animated with the full moon. And just what's wrong with barney purple and sea foam green? It's giving me ideas.LOL Maybe the meth heads were blind. When my parents bought the house I grew up in, in 1968, It was painted 5 shades of pink with black trim. Mom said she sat in the middle of the living room the first day and cried.

Last night one of the roads out of town was closed due to flooding. In 2006 all of the roads were closed and Duvall was an island. Fortunately I was on vacation and just watched the mess on the news. Doesn't look like it will get that bad this time. All the drainage work in the backyard seems to working. Dry chickens are happy chickens.

Good evening from a newby to this forum but not a newby in Washington! I have lived in Tacoma for 40 plus years now and love it. We have a small farm where we have dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and a few horses that we show and raise. Hope all of you fellow Washingtonians are stayinmg warm and DRY in the wet fall weather!

I hauled a horse from Duvall back to Enumclaw today. Man, there was a LOT of water in the Snoqualmie valley today. I have seen it worse in the past. Either way, I am glad I don't live in a river valley like that one!

Dena

I took my American chinchilla rabbit to the Yelm show yesterday.....why I didn't think to have you meet me there I do not know.

Anyways, she got a 1st place ribbon in her's and my 1st show. I also got her together with a buck of her breed so I am hoping to have little ones next month.

A friend of mine has some bunnies she and her daughter are trying to find homes for, I am not sure of colors sexes or breeds but I told her I would let some people know. I do not think she is asking much if anything just hoping to find them good homes. I asked if they have been handled etc, she said yes they recently got baths blow dried and nail trimmed and all that good stuff, anyone interested PM me and I will give you her number. Thanks

ETA: If anyone wants more info PM me and I can give you there number.

I dont think they are either of the breeds you asked though...

Also wanted to add that they live here in King County....

All of you with chickens and such better batton down the hatches as they say, The wind and rain is a coming!!! I on the other hand only have to stay inside with the wife and Parrot, no chickens yet to worry about....

I meant to come in here a while ago, but kept forgetting.

Anyway, I live in Bellingham, (near Lakeway and Yew St.) and don't have chickens yet. I definitely will this spring though. My main problem is making myself build a coop/run. The back door neighbors have a split level, so their deck and living room face out onto my yard, which I hate. Also on two sides there are dogs that bark when I go out there. So of course, then their owners come out to see what the trouble is, stare at me, and go back inside. ARG. I mean, they're good owners, the dogs don't bark very much (they just must hate me) but I just didn't grow up with such close houses!

Sorry for the rant! Hello fellow Washingtonians.

Did I miss out on this thread some how??
Well, if so, I found it now.
I am in south west WA. We are on flood watch (Again) right now!! How exciting!! Not quite as a New Hampshire blizzard, but interesting none the less.

I have been here 2 years now and came over from the great north east state of New Hampshire, by way of California.

Our flock was brought back with us from New Hampshire but was very small. I lost all by 2 Seramas once we were here. Somehow, I now have over 50 birds.

How did this happen? I must be a true addict.
