I am in Omak. Not sure where Cusick is. I have heard of Ione, but again not sure of location. Sorry. Orps and Seramas here...no Icelandics.

Cusick is east of you, west & north of Newport..(Cusick is where Terrie lacy lives;)
Make Jake welcome, he needs help getting a new homestedt ready for winter.

Welcome Jake. I would love to here more about your homesteading, Please keep us posted.

I was joking to myself a week ago when I was out in the rain and soaked through all of my raincoats that if I were a horse I'd get rain rot. Ha ha, ha ha: I've got a patch of ringworm on my spine at waist level. Any suggestions for household cures? I don't have any anti-fungals around and it itches.

Today, of course, I'll have to remember to put sunblock on.

Use a cotton ball, and spray it with the bleach solution.
Solution:
2 cups household bleach in an empty clean milk jug, LABEL it with a sharpie pen.
Fill with water.
Dump into an empty spray bottle & use for all sorts of clean ups: toilets, counters 9especially after cutting up meat) dish drainers, dish washers or what ever.
Dab the spot every so often.
Alcohol on a cotton ball also works, but burns and takes a bit longer to kill off.

The geese are in the geese pens near the waterfowl. I like this show because they don't put them in individual cages, which stresses them out, unless they go to champion row. You can have two or three in a pen, and they are much happier that way.

Yep, the sebastopols were really pretty, loved looking at them. Our favorite of the ducks & geese was the blue runner, not the winner but very entertaining to stare at.

And it was fun watching the judging when they put them down in a pen to run around. Bowling pins on legs!

I did not see them there!
Darn it!

Yep, and just remember that bleach is light sensitive, so you will either need to use an opaque spray bottle, cover the spray bottle with something dark, or re-make the solution every 12 hours or so for it to retain its full efficacy.

Tried chlorine bleach first, and it's gotten bigger. I'm tempted to follow Dad's old cure and rub it with gasoline, although I suspect that it used to work because there was more sulfur in petroleum.

I wonder if live-culture yoghurt would do anything?
