I was looking through the photos I took this after noon and found this boy, whose grandmother was the cow I tube-fed. His sire was Not And Angus, big time ( the calf's mother is a solid red cow, and none of his female ancestors had any white markings) but he put some nice, nice calves on the ground.

I got my coop cleaned out today. It looks like I did it in the nick of time. They say the colds are coming back.

I still need to harvest the potatoes, and what ever that may still be in the garden. I saw a big Zucc in there and some pumpkins. I should have sprayed the squash plants weeks ago. I get a lot of mildew on my plants.

I never spray mine

If mine get mildew, then it's that time of year and I let 'em go, plain and simple. But, most of my squash I don't think will get it, being as they're protected under a huge sheet of plastic.

I already got a frost hit though. My potatoes are just about dead. The greens are still goin' though.

I should use Captan. But I really like the idea of totally organic, so I am reluctant to use anything. I also have a bottle of fungus killer that is made my the same people that make Seven. It worked very well in the greenhouse this spring. I would have lost all the tomato plants without it.
