I actually had to pull over to the side of the road on my way home from work this morning. Because I started Bawling over a stupid song on the radio! Even after pulling off to the side and shutting the radio off, I still couldnt stop crying! It is very frustrating, and almost imposible to drive when crying... I wish I could just shut it off. lol

I'm right there with ya sista and I am NOT pregnant!!! Just the ......oh what did my dr call it??.... over 40 syndrome!!! Give me a break!!! That is a daily occurance with me, and it can be a stupid commercial on tv too!!! REALLY?

Look up hill and upstream; someone may have dug a stock tank or diverted the surface water by a (probably illegal) culvert- but it also might be a tree fell down and diverted the surface flow.

If it's a real artesian spring, messing it up without a permit is an illegal appropriation of surface waters.

We already walked to the marked source of the spring. It is an artisian spring, marked and watched by the county. Thats why everyone around here is a bit wierded out. We cant SEE any reason for it to have stopped flowing... We've called the county, they have yet to come out and look, the tribal fisheries have sent a crew out to look, as the spring feeds into the salmon run that the tribal hatchery is run off of... They can't figure it out. So I guess we wait for the county to send someone out.

I can't wait til mine start laying!! I think I'll let them hatch the eggs. My daycare kiddos will love it (and so will I)!!!!
I just have the three and haven't noticed that much of a smell-atleast not as much as my chickens.I don't worry that much about the smell as I do the noise the chickens make.
I have had several different breeds of ducks and the muscovies seem to be pretty mellow, but I've only had them for about 5 months so we'll see.And I love their faces with all the "red moles"as my daycare kids call it!!!

Ah yes, but you must watch how many they hatch!! See that's what happened to me and now I have over 30!!! YIKES!! I love them all and they have come out with some really cool colors, but, I just can't keep them all!! Mine hatched out about 13 - 16 apiece, Oh and I love your signature!!

I have heard that they can do this -move

I would get my shovel & post hole digger & dig me a hole.
I did just that very thing out here a few months ago & hit water at 5 feet!!
HA HA after we spent $5K for a 100 foot deep drilled well that is bone dry.
The well drillers also told me October & November are the driest months here in Western WA, after the dry summer, it takes a good 1-2 months of rain to bring the water table back up.
And when it does fill UP you will have a spring again.

The water running under the soil must have been there all along, and over flow comes out above in the spring.
Remember=gravity, water seeks the path of least resistance, and obeys gravity.
Dig & see..

Well the only problem I see qith digging and seeing, is that the spring source isnt on our property. Its about a quarter of a mile uphill from us. I suppose it could just be that it has dried up do to our funky non-summer... But I have never seen in run dry like this ever. even when we had 2 weeks of 90+ temps here in our area. We have gotten much drier weather here than everywhere else... We seem to have our own little micro climate, rain shadow, call it what you will...

I like all things Feathered and Furred just some attributes more than others.

LOL I .... KNOW, I just have to stick up for my little web footed buddies! They sure ate their weight in squitos this year tho!! My sister had a bad experience with a RIR roo once, so yea, I don't cotton to them much either!! LOL

Morning. dad survived on ramen in college
I survive on Stouffers: for breakfast i had chipped beef gravy on many slices of toast. tasted just like what mom makes at home.

I walked into the pet store here with a friend to look around. I am glad i left my money in the car.... there were cute little birdies that i wanted to buy. I liked the conure. they had frizzle canaries. and a cockatiel that was white with blue lacing. shame i can't have anything other than fish in my room.... then if i got a snake its not like they would know since they are silent....

its a lazy sunday.

Thanks Rob for putting out the challenge! I hope mine uploaded ok.
