Paul is very nice, just very quiet.

I have no idea who Paul is or if he is close to me. I think I also saw that Larry is not too far away. And Albie and Jim Volk and Jim Lucas and Dallas Meadow and ..... geez am I in the hot spot??

Well since my back is feeling a little better. I decided to sleep with out my legs up. At 5 this am the back woke me up to say not a good plan.

I haven't checked on the other discounts but I just signed on with our new Wilco store as a farm. Just ordered in bulk 40 bags of Purina Flock raiser for $15.49 a bag and no tax. Once the order comes in I'm going to see if I can mix the pallet for next time. Layer would be a lot less but not using it right now. Now that I get the farm discount on Purina, Excel feed is comparable but since my local Excel feed provider won't take my tax exempt info Purina is the best deal and I've heard Excel uses inferior quality ingredients even thought the analysis comes out close to the same.

In order to sign in as a farm, did you have to have a biz license?

At Wilco they have an application and there are several choices of business types to pick from. You can only choose one. Some require you to have so many acres, some require you to file a Schedule F for taxes, all require you to spend at least $1200 a year at the store but I didn't have to give a UBI#. The farm card alone gave me about a .90 discount on Flock Raiser which made it $17.11 ea but the letter that came with the card said to talk to the manger for bulk discounts. I had to buy 40 bags to get the $15.49 for Flock Raiser. In order to get it tax free I needed to show my tax exempt info from the state which came because we have a Business License.

The only people offering hatching/fertile eggs on CL are waaaay south of me. Maybe I should see if my TJ's has any fertile eggs. I could hardly believe it when I found that thread on here!

Maybe, maybe not. We have big yard waste containers. The guy who mows our lawn just puts the leaves in with the grass clippings (which I heard are NOT good for chickens). But it's a good idea - I'll keep an eye out.
