That's okay. He has been looking up here and there isn't anything hanging around. He has about the same luck when fishing also.

CL, I hope you get yourself all fixed up soon! Man! It sucks to be out of comission, I hate it. Take it easy, K?

ETA- DS got in a car accident last night, He is Ok, car is in the shop with some serious suspension problems. Hit a curb and guard rail, buckled the wheels right under. Waiting on the estimate. Missed dinner with a few BYC friends. Gotta love kids!
I am just glad he is ok!
As Ron said, you can replace a car, you can't replace a kid. So true!!!
Hope everyone has a good evening!

Really cool. Husband loves these kind of clocks.

Me, Too!!! My granny had a wooden Cuckoo clock from Germany that had the pine-cone weights like that one. A little door would open on the hour and a little bird would come out and cuckoo the number of the hour. I miss that clock.

I love Hallerlake's clock too. The roosters are way cool on it.

DH and I bought a Cuckoo Clock in Germany. We got to go to Germany back in 2004. DH works for a German company. There was another clock kit that I should have bought at the time. There is another BYC member that is going Germany this coming spring. I am hoping that she will be able to get to the town of Triberg and be able to find my clock kit for me.

Yes he was .See it wasin reply to my e-mail to him. And here was my reply.

Brian I think you may be surprised to know that I have done quite well at The Stevenson show and nearly all of my sales was to poultry people. However since it appears that you don’t want vendors and possibly walk in people at your show I will respect that.
Sincerely Rob Jenkins

so once upon a time there were two shoe salespeople that were sent to a country to check out the market for their product
one came back dejected and told his boss 'it's useless - no one wears shoes over there - we'd be fools to try to market our shoes there"
the other one didn't come back
he just sent a telegram
"unlimited opportunity!"
rob middle-name-goes-here jenkins - fer cryin' out loud - let me step into your life for a moment and tell you what to do
you're an entrepreneur
your stuff is really nice and people want it (I'm gonna get a bell someday when i can swing it)
you gotta stay in front of the audience
who cares what anyone's attitude is
he may have tried to discourage you but he didn't say he didn't want vendors
your table is waiting for you , it's $10 and if you can swing it, do it
this is just another story you'll live to tell about
okay, i'll step out of your life now....
sincerely,
HSH

ooo CR don't let him get you down... maybe just bring a few smaller easy to move pieces, don't do a big display as you would maybe at Stevenson. You NEVER KNOW. Sometimes Poultry People MIGHT be interested in your iron work. And bring your donated Raffle Item PLEASE.

NOPE Sorry but he made it clear with his statement of. " Ours is more of a poultry show and less of a craft sale."

Brian is very opinionated. If the table space is available for $10, try it. Doesn't hurt to try. I took some decent birds to a show in ID once- and I didn't sell but one. I donated a couple birds to the raffle, the better of the two went for $2, the other went for $8. Same show I got a SUPER nice pair of black pullets from Bob Anderson for a fraction (very small fraction) of what they were worth and gave one to Sheryl Butler. Despite the poor sales in some of the fancier breeds, I would go back to that show anytime! The people were great and the sale space was cheap- so the loss was just my time and effort in taking sale birds.

Other shows where I've expected low sales I've been shocked at how much I've sold. You never know. Up to you, of course. Talk to Terra.

I just read the vendor info in the catalog, and if that's what they keep referring you back to, then pay your $10, show up, set up your stuff as spread out as you want, and if someone complains about how much space you're taking up, tell them that they should've gotten back to you with more specific information.

I have asked Terra several times if I could bring a clutch (like 4 or 5) Icelandics for display only...and will bring my own table, and if I could use a big pen there...she said she'd get back to me...........................................................................................................................................that was weeks ago.
So I am bugging Mr Decker about it.

I think he probably has to tlak to Terra,.. because it is all about space. Decker might not be enthused since they are landrace and therefore unable to be standardized.

I said it was the MOM as soon as I saw the story on the news. I mean come on !!!!! what mother would leave a kid in the car by themselfs????

My thoughts exactly! Isn't it criminal these days? If she really did that they should have arrested her on the spot. I never saw if the news said if the car was broken in to so do they think he was supposedly stolen or let himself out and wander off? I think she had a family member from her country come and get him and take him back so her ex couldn't get him. I think her ex is just liking the publicity. A chance to have people feel sorry for him and he's liking having his face on TV. He's playing the whole thing. I don't really believe she left him in the car. She may be lying but it's also possible she's doing what she thinks is best for her son which could be why she's not talking. Didn't she take her daughter with her to get gas? Have they questioned her?
