DH & his friend have been watching for bucks, tomorrow is the last day of late season deer.
So far, just our resident does & their fawns are seen.
They have planted apples, COB & corn..and set up a game cam::::::: No bucks.
DeWayne has not got his deer, so he has sat in our blind for a week now, freezing, and seen only the does & fawns.
So he is sitting there freezing this morning when his wife calls on his cell.
he ignored the vibrating the first time, not wanting to give his position away to the deer...but on the second call he looked.
seeing it was his wife, he answered whispering...hello?
She said "Come home NOW! FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!
A car just hit a buck & it is laying on our front lawn with 2 broken rear legs..."
So off DeWayne went.
Within minutes he is home & put the buck out of his trauma, had him skinned & hung in another 10.
DeWayne is good, disabled & all, and had help.
Cool story.
I hate it when deer/elk are hit & left to rot.
DeWayne said no meat was ruined by the car..just lower legs.
I never asked after the car~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
