Canada doesn't officially celebrate USA Thanksgiving but quite a few of the locals are saying Happy Thanksgiving to all and sundry, anyway
they may not know exactly when that date is, but they are into the spirit of it (Canada has a Thanksgiving but it's a different date)
grocery stores are featuring turkey ... in their ads ... Ingrid's cooks were starting turkey soup tonight to serve tomorrow
I'm hoping to find a slice of mince pie == pumpkin is easy, mince is not ===
but for dinner tonight I did have a great turkey-burger sandwich with cranberry relish and cucumber inside a great organic herbal multigrain bun
I carefully resisted getting a Nanaimo Bar ..... oh those are good, but you need to have been skiing all day to afford the calories
will do my best to get pix of the rooster statuettes (one of them IS polkadotted) -- also they put rooster pictures beside one of the chalkboard menu boards, and there's also a rooster on a wall plaque ... very German/Austrian/BlackForest-y
no word from DS so I suspect he dealt with the rain on the chicken run ... more than likely the flock stayed in the coop all the time anyway
