Well, I'm looking at it with admiration, myself, since I'll be converting the hall bathtub to a brooder ASAP- I need to have something easier to clean when I'm done with the nonsense of having EEs in the house, while still large enough to house six of them until I can get the outside shelter done.

I have kept chicks in the bathtub. Easy to clean. But, unfortunately, I have only 1 bathroom, or that is probably where these guys would all be. I think I can keep this clean easy enough and now they have plenty of space for as they grow. They grow fast don't they. It was crazy of me to hatch them knowing it was going to be too cold to put them outside. I was not thinking how fast they would grow. orps are so big anyway. Seramas, heck I could keep 100 of them in this space. Have fun. I feel for you.

OK sorry but you are way ahead of me so what is WL B ? I think the B must be Bantam.

White leghorn bantam. All runs are covered so this happened when I let them out to free range for a couple of hours.

I am sorry for your loss: Both your hen and the house.

Re: The house: I am a firm believer in if it was menat to happen it will. I know it hurts and is disappointing...so I am sorry. Best wishes for you and your family.

Have you tried the place at S 56th and Washington (I think that is what it is, a block off of South Tacoma Way)? I usually go to Avenue Feed at S 99/100th & Pacific (Highway 7). I would think that both of those would be closer than Puyallup and Gig Harbor.

99th and Pac Ave seems really far away from me for some reason. Maybe because I typically have no reason to go over there. I have not tried 56th and Washington. I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the tip!

I totally agree with you. If we are meant to move then we will find a place that will work with all the details. Thanks for the kind words and for the past advice.

Hope you get passed your headaches, too!

Sorry Broody about your bantam. That must have been doubly hard since your kids were so upset. Just makes it all that much tougher. Great attitude concerning the house, but of course hanging on to disappointment doesn't really get you anywhere does it? Letting go and ready for what is meant to be - there's some relief in being able to do that. Take care.

Some good news and bad news - Bad news is there is a real possibility I'm going to have to miss the Chehalis show AGAIN this year. Good news is because I auditioned for a role in Tacoma Little Theatre's upcoming "California Suite" and got the part!

The director had emailed me 2 days ago and I hadn't checked email so he finally called me this evening to ask if I'd accept the role. However, even though I has mentioned on the audition form that I wouldn't be available on Saturday he asked me if I'd be willing to clear my schedule for the first read-through. It's pretty important to be there.

California Suite is a series of 4 vignettes featuring 4 different couples in hotel rooms. There are only 2 women and 2 men in the play, so I'll be playing 2 different characters. I'm pretty excited - other than stage managing a musical earlier this fall, I haven't done a show onstage in over a year. And the guy playing my husband is one of the area's most well respected directors/actors. We read together during callbacks and had the BEST time. I'm really looking forward to working with him. Rehearsals will be starting this coming weekend - the show opens mid January.

Still disappointed if I have to miss the Winter Brisk again though. Too many fun things to do all at once.

Or is that a good thing?
