I'll help!!!
Oh my....I have so many great helpers!!!!!!!!
Wish you were all here to help wash this big ol'turkey bird !!
I told DH to get ready, I was going to wash the Tom..and he said hollar when you are ready.
I was ready & yelled & yelled and DH did not show (typical...he is in his forte...rebuilding a Farm Master Incubator for Sheriff Mary)
and so on I went, Tom cornered, towel & hudson sprayer filled with warm water & a tiny bit of tide.
I started spaying, but impossible to hold 1 arm around Mr Tom's breast, and pump the sprayer & try to spray & wash with the other hand.........
Needed 3-4 hands here!
So, impossible to keep yelling when around the birds...I worked on him & finally wrestled him laying on his back, feets up...and washed his legs & belly...what a NICE LONG BREAST this boy has!!!!!!!!!
I got most of both wing tips done, and his tail feathers, and ran out of water.
I let the boy up....and he acted soooooooooooooooo humiliated.....almost sad!!!!
I hope he struts for me again!
I plan on washing him again tomorrow..if there is need to....I am sure the judges know how hard it is to both wash a big white bird AND keep it clean.
I should get a special award just for the attempt!!!
Sorry, no one was there to take photos, and wouldn't you know it, as soon as I was done & walking out of the gate, DH showed up...
I want to weigh this bird too, and that will have to waite until tomorrow....
