Go with your heart. I just got a flock of Icelandics, because it is what i want to do. I have had to part with some lovely birds, but they are all going to good homes where they will be appreciated.

When you do something you really enjoy, you will do it better. And, even if not recognized now, who knows what the future will bring.

My Icees aren't a recognized breed - I don't care!

Illia was just telling me she is sticking with Polish, have you any good breeder birds she may want? Or hatchery birds?

Need to sheer the butt then, and help prevent larvae anyways.
I love his colors.

Yeah, I need to get a dose of Eprinex for him from my sister. Should have done that Wednesday but it was not the greatest round-uo ever, since the last half-hour of it was rendered less fun by four idiot teenagers yelling at us and the cattle.

I have a bunch.............but am stuck here with no trans until DH gets back.

My truck has been sitting down there in our driveway for 2 years now, windows rolled up, cooking (it is 110 in May and gets hotter all summer until October)
I am sure the dash & apolstry are ruined..so I sent DH off with the pink slip to sell it.

Most important thing to remember put one hand in yer pocket and leave it there. NEVER work on "hot" electrical with both hands.

AND

NEVER STAND ON THE GROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stand on dry plywood or something!!
We have a tester, you simply touch the wire & it will alarm if it is hot!

harborfreight! or any hardware store! It can save your life!

Make sure the "slackers" are not in moult!
If all your birds are young as you have said, they can "dry up" when moulting...and start lay again afterwards.

I think my birds are clas D and I am not sure that I can table top show class D. The cockerel is a little over 20 oz. But I need to reweigh, as my scale may have not been right. Comparing to the birds at the Chehalis show...he does not look that much different in size. But then again ...1 or 2 oz is probably hard to really see much difference.

I cannot hardly believe how far you have come in the past year, from knowing nothing & never hatching to how you are today!!!!!!!!!

LOOK how much you know today!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I have several "HOT STICKS" they are great. I highly recommend them.
Standing on dry wood is not a sure bet. Keeping one hand in your pocket won't keep you from doing the funky chicken. BUT IF you do get lit up it will be hand to foot (still not fun). See a hand to hand shock will kill faster because it goes right through the heart. Also it is not votage that kills it is amperage that kills. Less than 1 ampere can kill.

I make fantastic sandwich board type signs that are very whimsical........and collect the eye as people drive by, so much so that I have orders for the signs.
My issue is space & where I can build them & paint them.
Enamel does not do well in extreme temps.
