did I tell ya all that I'm trying to make a greenhouse/aquaponics system on the super cheap? (my gov checks got cut off again lawyers working on it but atm living on half of normal which is very low to start with)

I'm gonna try and make this pop bottle greenhouse.... different design but this gives you a idea...

I can't free range here, I have bald eagles that like to hang out in my trees, but I know Ilia free ranged him at her place. He has been awesome with us and with the ladies, their backs get muddy but he doesn't even break their feathers too bad. He has NEVER made a step toward me, even when I make one of the girls sqwauk.

my mom would be happy not to have to watch her back... fabio is gonna be stewed Monday since he started attacking people again... the boy just does not learn. (and I won't sell him due to attacking and throwing crooked toes....)

yes because it appears that is what mine did

got only pink eggs from Ginger for about three weeks

now we are getting 3 to 5 eggs a day of all different colors (each of our girls lays a slightly different color egg)

That works for me- I'd really like a couple of blue girls with an eye to eventually selecting for blue spangled (long sort of goofy discussion about that on an old thread in the Breeds & Showing thread), but I've decided I want to have blue egg layers penned with the Hamburgs so that I don't have any confusion about which eggs to incubate and which to sell. The EEs are going in with the second splash BLRW when they're old enough, also for eggs to sell. Assuming there's ANY pullets, which I doubt some days.

remember, Julia, you may inherit my flock, at least for a couple of months, February thru April ... this presuming the grandchick EEs don't quite pan out for you

will bring a coop, or bring materials and build on site ...

so far no one has expressed any interest at all in my lot, and I just don't feel I can trust DS to care for them for 2 months while we are gone

I have to many! grab a truck and you can have my weird one!

5' x 2' x 5-6'

they had it on the side of the house so 5 high 2 wide 5-6 long.... I turned it sideways and have it 2' high 5' wide etc for the quails. But I have the new cages so don't use it so if anyone wants it come get it ... maybe donate 25 for my chicken fund?

DH took the hand guns on his trip.
He is in Lake County CA now, just arrived, leave here at 6 AM, get there at 6 PM........
I am having a bit of issue with not knowing what to do now there is no one to cook for.........

I have taken 2 hrs a day for PT, and got into weight lifting again, and minor aerobics to get the leg back into sink...but do not want to push it as I am here alone.
