So sad about the hypothermic pullet. I had a dog-attacked one once that was panicked and lost a lot of feathers, and a little blood where they came out and two rips that I found. I gave her a warm bath, coated her wounds with Manuka honey and fed her warm oatmeal with scrambled eggs yogurt and honey. She pulled through just fine and healed remarkably well. She had very few feathers to molt this fall. Now she it one of my sweetest hens and totally trusts people. Dogs not so much.

Thanks to all of you. The stupid heating pad picked tonight of all nights to stop working. When I realized that I put a disc heater in the bathroom. She's still snoozing soundly but I'm going to go do the betadine/triple antibiotic and see if I can rouse her to drink a little something. She was just getting ready to roost when this happened so I'm not as concerned about her eating right now.
I really appreciate my Washingtonian friends. You all are such a great group of people. Thank you so much - and I really hope you all don't get slammed by the incoming weather -

House temperatures should be fine once she's gotten her body temp up to normal.

last month a serama chick fell in a freezing bucket of water, my son found it struggling and soaking. he brought it to me and I blow dried it then my mom took it and held it next to her while I warmed up the pink heat disk. we put it on the disk in a towel to warm up, looked like it was a goner, put some bread in front of it and it instantly came to life and pigged out.,.. it went back out with mom after a couple hours lol
