Ok I have been looking for nearly 2 hours on whether or not you can have chickens inside the city limits of snohomish, does anyone know? My mom is getting the chicken bug and I really want her to raise her own rather than trying to put all of the work off on me lol

So I did go get a gallon waterer today. They are loving it!

My girls and I hit McClendon's big sale today and got all kinds of lettuce and peas and pansies to put into 2 big pots for the ducks!! Then ran up to the auction in time to get some hanging baskets and impatients! Now I just need the weather to work with me!!

Movie night with us all holding ducks on our laps is the plan for tonight!! YEAH!!! '

That looks just like mine. I got her from a breeder. She is beautiful, but a total spaz! I love her! Her feathers have that iridescent green in them when she is out in the sun.

I have a total spaz hen named 'Cathy" after DH's idiot sister...this pullet would fly up and hit a post, fly into a wall, walk off a bridge into the creek, etc.
Today, a year later, Cathy is my best layer, she is beautiful, and still a total character.....she even has a flopped over comb, the jaunty beret`.

So sad ! Make sure they cannot get OUT.
Turkeys, and geese, too, need to see Momma alot more than chickens do.
For some reasons, they remember their 'Mothers'' face, and it is called imprinting.
Maybe, your babies went looking for their moma, and that may have been you.
I have had turkeys imprint me, bad news there, the turkeys were nuts to get to me for the rest of their lives...so much so, that they were going through pens and trying to get to the front porch where they sat and paced and pooooooed~~~~~
Turkeys and Geese "imprint"

I am not sure if ducks do~~
