Good morning all,
I talked to a lady about a Chicken Fanciers Club here in Washington.  I can't remember the name, can you help me out?  I would like to go to a show to see the different breeds.

there is washington feather fanciers right off the top of my head, also a show coming up in Monroe at the end of March

I have no idea whether or not the man killed his wife. I'm sorry he felt he had no option except to kill himself, but killing his children was wrong. No ifs ands or buts about it. It's pretty narcissistic to think his children couldn't live without him.

I totally agree

I've suffered from depression my entire life. I've done everything including electro-convulsive therapy (that's when they run electricity through your head a dozen times or more). I do understand him killing himself. Taking his children with him was wrong.
I totally agree

Not this time of year, not so much- I think there's been a hand-full of cases mostly East of the Mountains. I'd bet this bird hit a window.
Anyway, this is a Sapsucker:

I remembered the bird I thought this was: A Tananger ??? (Not the one shown above but the one I found dead.
And it was attacked by something which hit it in the back of the neck, we believe an owl or hawk)

I was enjoying the sun and making the best of trying to fix a serious break down on my junkin truck. Just minding my own business when all of the sudden I felt something hit my neck and then the instant STING ! ! ! DANG IT JIM ! ! ! ! Dang Yellow jacket. Since theplantain isn't much good this time of year I had to go in the house and get the sting away.
I would rather get 10 honey stings than one yellow jacket.

I saw 1 yesterday too!
I think they and the bald face hornets are going to be BAD this year since it has been yet another 'warm' winter with not a long enough freeze.
We only had those 2 days of 20 degrees............and anyday now we expect to see HORDES, CLOUDS...of No-See-Ums !!!!!!!!!
