there was a press conference with the Utah police chief, they are still working the case and he said they will have closure. he was very emotional about what happened in the end, he had to fight back tears. the media has not hounded Josh, they of course had a feeding frenzy in the beginning and then again with the arrest of his father. He was not driven to anything according to other family members who described him as narcissistic and possessive. the oldest boy confided in a teacher that they did go camping, mom went with them but she was in the trunk of the car, mom and dad went away and then dad came back without mom. last time he saw her... I for one dont care what the media did to him, its not a good enough reason to claim poor me and then blow up two innocent little boys. I dont care one iota that he died in the fire, what I care about is the fact that he was deranged enough to do that to two little boys... hope he rots in hell for eternity ... everyone is going to have an opinion, this is mine, nothing more nothing less

Last night on another channel news that we do not usually watch, they said the boys had "opened up" and were getting happier, and that they had started to talk about things.....
And that among other things, the older boy had told him (the BiL, Susuan's brother) that he remembered going camping in the night and Mommie was in the trunk and when they went home, Mommie was gone.
I think this had alot to do with why what happened, happened.
Now the kids were wtinesses............and Josh didn't just blow up the house.....he did other unmentionable things first.
He was a Monster, reminds me of the Scott Peteson deal...........also a monster.
Enough on that depressing subject. So sad. So selfish !

Yes but that is normally late summer early fall. I had 4 hives killed by yellow jackets this fall. Many others were saying it was the worst they had ever seen.

What can be done about it ? A guard of some sort to keep the yellows out ?

I have had a productive day (already )
We had the guy come to pick up the hens he bought...7 of them.
He decided he wanted 12 total, and called me last eve, so DH & I went out with flash lights & got more birds and packed a large dog crate.
So that was nice !
I also watched the turkey hens last late afternoon & did not find anymore eggs in the coop.
So started spying on them...and walked up the hill where we have set up an A-frame of plywood (there for hawk protection for the ranging birds to hide in ) and sure enough...under a pile of old dry grass, camo'd completely !
Was a divit in the cold soil, and there I got 6 more eggs.
I let them warm & into the incubator they went.
In late March-early April I have Sweet Grass Turkey eggs coming from Porter's.........so am excited about that too !

So, this is a fertility test, and if any poults hatch...let me know if anyone wants any.
Last year MonicaS said she wanted a few poults...so I gotta rattled her cage again.

Typed out a post & it disapeared !!!

Now I have to measure for new pen netting....and last time we got it at Mud Bay Nursery.
IF we go get netting, we will rattled TotalColours cage as well..........

Then I have to get new tarps for the compost, per the QUEEN OF COMPOST !!! CowGirlGrace !

My old tarp was so leaky I might as well have not had one & so loosing all those lovely compost juices..........

And now I seem to be hogging the thread.........

Morning everyone, Looks like its gonna be another beautiful day in Western Washington. Lots to do today but I just wanted to give everyone a quick update.... My chicks are 2 weeks old today and growing strong. This is my first time ever having Cornish Cross's and let me tell you they are huge compared to the Barred Rocks and my Rhode Island Reds. My husband says they are kinda scary looking and very lazy. LOL. All they do is lay around n eat... I cant wait till they are feathered out so I can take them out n let them enjoy the sunshine and stretch their huge legs. Can anyone give some information about the show in Monroe in March? I have never been to a poultry show before but think it would be fun to see all the different breeds. Well gotta run. Got shopping and clean to do, oh joys. Enjoy your day

Can anyone give some information about the show in Monroe in March? I have never been to a poultry show before but think it would be fun to see all the different breeds. Well gotta run. Got shopping and clean to do, oh joys. Enjoy your day
