What a great life saving tool.

All people who go into the un controlled mountains should wear them.
Fantastic tool whom ever came up with the idea.

You probably right about REI.

But I'd find another place to buy them than REI.
Seen their prices? WOW!

Reminds me of designer jeans.

Get the same thing wiothout the name elseware for considerable amount less.

I left some chicken feed bags at T HIs for you. I will collect more. Wished I could have seen you.

Okay all you smartie pants. Putting this out to all you crafty people who can see the "vision" where I can not always see it.

I have the opportunity to pick up A LOT of snowmobile pallets. I want a "building" type coop. Something I can walk into and will only have to worry about warming the 1 room. This is going to be my serama house. I have scribled down what I want - no exact dimensions....but I know what style I want. Is it possible to use these pallets to do this? I almost can see it...but not 100% sure. Do You know of a good design or web site that I could go to that would help me invision this? Throw your ideas my way .... would love to hear them.

Can ya give more info? Like the size of the pallets, what are they made of, How big do ya want the building. Pallets make awesome, fast and easy building.

Life insurance ?
That is so scarey I do not understand how/why folks put themselves in such harm's way.............maybe I am just too old to understand

I do not 'get' bungee jumping either................

So, how come they call it life insurance? You only get it when you are dead - they should call it Death Insurance

Or attempting to cheat death by jumping out of a still flying aircraft. Those really make a dent in the earth when they get caught trying to cheat.
When asked why he (hubby) jumped out of a good airplane, he always answered; "If they made a GOOD airplane, I wouldn't jump out of it. (He has over 400 jumps, and one from 28 THOUSAND feet!)

Me, I was a pilot, so couldn't dream of jumping out, nobody left to fly it

Okay, let me try to post my scribble picture that I drew for Dale this morning: Okay, I can't get that to upload. Hmmm, now how to get it on here for you. Well, let me describe. It will not have a "triangle type roof....it will slope more to one way. Side pointing toward East higher side to get morning light. West side down some to allow for runoff. I want like a walk-in-shed type so that I can have cages inside with runs to the outside for my seramas.

The pallets are fairly heavy...anywhere from 6 to 10 ft long, and 4 to 6 feet across. there is a huge pile of them. They look very sturdy - snow mobiles and ATVs are shipped in them. I was thinking I could use them as walls and use a few 2x4 as a brace to hold as the main "beam" for the wall that way if I need to stack one on top of the other to make the wall to the height I want. Is this doable? Does any of this make sense?

Size of the building is not decided yet...but I would think 12 ft long 8-10 ft across. Serama runs do not have to be huge. I really need to go and measure to see how much I want. With the space I have I know it could be larger.

DH thought individual coops...problem with this is heating in the winter. I want a regular walk in shed so that I have 1 room to heat, I can be in the building and work with birds, house their food, etc.
