Is it spraddled? If so, it's very curable...oops--never mind. I saw the pics...I think that issue looks like it originates from it's hips. I'd say that it does need to be put down.

what is the incubator?
what is the incubator?
Hey! It's a custom cabinet bator. I used it for one season and it holds three LG or Hovabator turning racks, plus it's got a hatching drawer on the bottom. The front is solid glass and it's got two fans, a wafer thermostat and a little door on top to add water. It does hold over 100 eggs. It's a mahogany color and made from real wood. It also has lights in it for heat and to see what's going on in there.
I used it last spring/summer to hatch chickens, Muscovies and geese (African & Buff) with great success.
I came to the sad realization that I won't have the time for hatching hundreds of chicks any time soon and it is too big for the small living room it's in--so DH wants me to get rid of it. I wish I didn't have to and that I had a place to store it until I had time for hatching lots of chicks again--but we really don't have any place in the house and it's too nice to be out in a shed.
I paid over $400 + shipping for it new but I'm open to offers. I just need it gone since DH is threatening to use it as firewood.
I am planning to bring it to Monroe with me. It does weigh around 60lbs.
I can e-mail you some photos if you're still interested.
I will set here by my stove and be just happy as a broody silkie on a batch of RIR B eggs with a warm 29* outside.Getting ready to cozy up next to the wood stove with a bowl of toffee chunk ice cream and a big fleece blanket!
I just checked, it's 17 degrees out and I bet the wind is 50-60mph...so it's got to be below zero out. Audrey is snuggled in our bed since her room gets so cold on nights like this.![]()
