Ok so I have a few people looking for possible breeds to buy eggs or chicks.....
Lets have a run down on what people have! :D

I have

Olive Eggers
Easter Eggers

What do you have for hatching eggs or chicks?

Justbugged, you are fabulous.... just sayin ,.

Oso is a beauty, has the body of a newfie and the head and color of an aussie.

Thanks I agree about seeing both breeds. I just hope that everything goes well tomorrow. Hopefully Oso will be with me when I get on the ferry at Mukilteo ferry. I am going to meet up and get some Dorking eggs at the Clinton terminal, and return back on the same ferry. It's going to be a long day for me.

For those concerned about PM's and "deleting" them. Here it is straight from the man, Nifty.

Quoted from a post by Nifty.

This question has been coming up a few times:

Q: How do I empty the PM's in my message trash?

Answer: We leave PMs in Trash indefinitely. However, once each night, we'll check to see if you have more than 20 Trashed PMs and delete the oldest ones after there are 20+. For example, if there are 25 PMs in your trash box, we'll delete the oldest 5 and will leave the remaining "newer" trashed messages in place.

We may add a "delete trash" feature in the future, but it is a relatively low priority.

Justbugged, add me to the list of people who love Oso, although one of the Nasty Little Puppies (the bigger boy!) is closer to what my next dog needs to be.

I got next to nothing done yesterday due to complications in the human caring zone; DH had the queasies and stayed home from work, so I was on soup and ginger ale duty all day, and the lowest status cow had her calf, with both of them being in less-than-optimal state and thus needing checked a couple of times, a half-mile round trip each. When my sister and nephew came to catch and tag the calf I got as far as the fence I'd already crawled through three times yesterday and stopped, leaned on a fence-post, and waited for them to come back. I suspect that feeding 16 cows one round bale has unexpected social effects on nutritional status, but as gets impressed upon my memory every time I mention it, I do not have say in these things.

Malvina gave me an egg yesterday, so I now have seven egg-layers in the past week.

I'm hoping that I can get some actual increment of doneness done today. Stranger things have happened.

OH. The place where the over-gate hanging branch of terror used to be:

And a few of Mikie's chickens investigating the ruins of their favorite briar patch, which took a direct hit from half a tree:

Yep! Picking up my Serama eggs from Castle Delight Seramas when I go to Stevenson in April. So providing I have a successful hatch, we'll have Serama babies by May.

Still haven't really broken the news to DH yet. I've kind of been hinting without really saying, "Oh BTW, I'm hatching Seramas and guess what? They'll be living in the house during the winter! - won't that be fun?"

I am proof that WA4-HPoultryMom and friends are very effective enablers.
