Why, when you are waiting for a few eggs, do the girls just hang outside the coop chatting instead of getting down to business ?

Just checking in to say Hi
Got to see my son last night, he looks as good as he can. Told me I didnt need to come down today cause its a hour away, told him I want to if its ok with him. Said wait till tomorrow Mom and I'll let you know. Well got a tec at 6 or so this morning with a list of stuff he needs so Im happy I get to go see him again. It so helps when you can see their face's . I tried not to cry infront of him last night he doesnt need to worry about me thats for sure. But he spoke of something sad. Thats what I told him to so its ok to cry when you talk of sad things, doesnt mean thats bad.. Hope that was the right thing to do.
He also told me they thought he should stay for 2 weeks maybe a little more..

Than I found a nice hole in my wall from other son, so we had a talk too. Told him he needed to share his feelings with us becasue I know this has got to be hard on him. That and the next time he felt he needed to punch something we have a punching bag in his bedroom to use it...

Its so hard..

Have to say it sure was good to drive my bus this morning, the kids keep me hopping and I see life...

I'm so sorry your family is going through this!!! Hang in there my friend!! I know with the struggles I've gone through with my kids lately, my heart breaks for you!!!

Thank you everyone.
    Im only going to write this then Im off again.
 this past week has been a long one with this past weekend being the hardest one in a long time.
I have found a safe place for my son for a week or so, so I hope he will be in a better place when we bring him home again... Im going to be going to Lacey everynight right after I get off of work, will be there around 6 and head home at 7...
   I just want to really say think you. I also ck my PM's.

I was trying to unpick what's going on in your life, but anyway: if you need somewhere to sit and unwind a little before you get back on the freeway, PM me and I'll give you my number. I'm a couple miles straight south of exit 111, and good at distracting/ignoring you as you need. I also have an extra bed of sorts if you need.

I was waiting for one more Spitz egg so i could fire up the incubator. Dotty kept going into the coop for twenty minutes. i'd check...no egg. Over and over again. Sheesh.

Nope, but being teased relentlessly with Orps.................

Incidently, you can buy single bottles of any vaccine, you need not buy in "massive" quantity.
Pipsandpeeps does, but she runs 300+ birds and usually has vaccine for sale, see the "swap " thread she started or PM her.
I buy 3 to 4 bottles of Marek's at a time through Jeffers.com...and add an icepack.
Shipping is what is expensive as they must go 2nd day air and be kept cold.
So buying 1 bottle is dumb...keeps in the fridge for ever practically.
So I save up multiple hatches in my brooder & when I get over 50 chicks, I vaccinate them all, regardless of age and any new birds I have bought from others that are not vaccinated.
Jeffers.com also has meds, needles, syringes & the like.

And I am only 5 cents more than Jeffers with no shipping costs. It is the merial brand. It is the same basic HVT vaccine, but the diluent comes in a baggy, not a bottle.

I am also able to buy large quantities of diabetic needles at my local Walmart to use with the mareks vaccine. Let me know soon, I am getting ready to order for the show.

Yep!  Picking up my Serama eggs from Castle Delight Seramas when I go to Stevenson in April.  So providing I have a successful hatch, we'll have Serama babies by May.   Still haven't really broken the news to DH yet.  I've kind of been hinting without really saying, "Oh BTW, I'm hatching Seramas and guess what?  They'll be living in the house during the winter! - won't that be fun?"

I am proof that WA4-HPoultryMom and friends are very effective enablers.

Well, a freind.and I ordered eggs, and she will ship ASAP...man are they awesome gorgeous !
I have no pics but will see if she can send me some....
Right now I have to run to town & ship & run errands...alot of running & stock up a bit for the lovely snow we are going to have !!!!!!!!!!!
