Cool! I won't know any of you on sight but I imagine if I take a picture of the best looking pup I'll have Krash!

Hey RR dont forget that you wont be showing Krash on saturday....wrong judge, but you will be there to watch him, and tell his handler what they are doing wrong....lol. we show at 2 on Saturday and 11 on Sunday. Would love everyone to come watch if you want, but be advised, its not one of the free shows to watch. They charge admission.....dont ask me why....

I used to be able to get extra wristbands from friends who were competing or if I was working a booth, but they changed the procedure this year so I'll have to pay the ten bucks to get in. Even if I don't make it, I wish all of our BYC friends the best of luck!

OK so keep in mind these were at night and I was trying to fend off a very protective Silkie momma. But here are pics of my red headed step children !

Ok, so just a testament to the wonderful disposition of Buckeyes. I was talking to my peeps and stuck my hand down and cupped it, and guess who was the first to jump up IN my hand?? A buckeye!!!

So then, when one buckeye saw it then the rest started doing it so I had buckeye chicks jumping in and out of my hand!! LOL
The RIR's started a little and guess who were the most stuck up and "chicken"???

I have wanted Buckeyes since I first came on here and saw the CL had them!! Thank you CL!!!!

I think the B RIR's and B AMs are cute, time will tell if they have the personality! CR's B RIR seemed very calm and cute, so I hope the babies turn out too!

when I open the coop door the buckeyes come over to check me out the Javas stay a little farther away but are curious too

Oh yea, just one last thing, when I first got back into chickens, I started researching Buckeyes,
I told my friend, I wasn't sure if I should get them cause my dad would be offended!! LOL
He's a Blues fan!!! LOL

Oh how funny Julie, same here! DH's family is all from Michigan and his dad went to U of MI and was in their marching band, so they take their Wolverine/Buckeye stuff seriously! His grandmother is in her 90s and was a UPer, I just recently made her some pasties as a special treat. They made fun of a California girl making pasties, until they ate them.

Ohhh how I wish I could get a Roo... They have a Bantam Cochin Pair at the co op... Hatched out in May and the Roo is so pretty... and they are only $15....

Note to add:We are all hoping that T-Hi can come to the party & DJ us some tunes on her DJ equipment hooked up to her new computer !!!

I can haz jeans! I got into a nearly-forgotten drawer where I'd stashed a bunch of jeans which got too small the spring/summer I was kept out of the garden by a burned foot, and the second pair I tried on fit.
Nice side effect of raising chickens, eh? Not to mention an end to fretting that my entertainment budget was going to be eaten by shopping for work clothing.
Isn't it a great feeling discovering you don't have to spend money? It's kind of like finding unexpected cash in a coat pocket. Bonus!
