I so wish I could go to the show this weekend, I dont think I can make it even for a few hours with all that is going on around this place. So Im thinking a get together around her for all of us maybe. We tried to do it last year but not sure what happend.

I sure hope everyone has a great time, I really enjoyed it last year.

OK so is there anybody that will be at the show and lives close to you. I will bring the fan and maybe we can do a relay.

okay, is this a serious question? Yes, okay then. You train them with treats and a clicker just like you do with a dog (you don't really need a clicker).

(Chickens learn very quickly, (not baby chicks) - I have 3 in isolation (awaiting pickup from their new owner) and they have learned how to flood their pens. They have automatic waterers that they have to press on to get water. I actually watched one of them hold down the little bar to make the water gush out, and then he laughed himself silly (REALLY) and then started doing at all over again. Then the others watching him, tried it for themselves. They all ended up having a water party. So now, I turn the water off and only turn it on for a bout 10 minutes while I watch to make sure they are drinking, not playing!)

So I have a question for you all. Why would someone tell you that they dont have eggs right now to sell only to put eggs up for bid? Im a little bit POd I tell ya. Im not going to say who they are but can say Im not real happy about it.. Was told I could get some in March..

is it possible that what they have put up is actually a "reservations" list for eggs they are counting before they are layed?

Mopsy has died. She was my lap chicken. She was fine in the afternoon, looked a little bit under the weather by evening, and was gone this morning. What can happen so fast?

I won't be selling any Brabanter eggs this spring. I need to incubate the ones I've been saving.

Oh no... Sorry to hear about Mopsy. I'm interested to hear thoughts on what might have been ailing her.

ok I have convinced my parents to let me go to the Monroe Show!! Roads permitting.

If anyone has Icelandics roosters and hens I would like to buy some.
Any Blue Birchen Marans hens or roosters I would like to buy some.
Any Marans Hens and roosters I would like to buy.

If anyone wants I have 2 Cayuga Drakes that I can bring to sell. $10 each.

I might be able to buy hatching eggs too.

I just set 7 Icelandic eggs in the 'bator yesterday, (I had ONE hatch on Monday). Maybe you would be interested in them when they are a bit older? Well, they have to hatch first!

I also have been collecting eggs for someone who is supposed to be picking them up on the weekend, but I haven't heard back from her - so they may be available too.

So I went and took a look, and no dont think its for a reservation for the eggs, doesnt say anything like it, Oh well. I sent a PM will see if it gets a reply. Just dont think its nice to do to someone, this world is way to small of a place...
