Whoah! Those look cool but I don't think we'll need roll-outs. Thanks for the link! I just need something with a weatherproof roof I can lift up and pull out eggs a couple times a day.

Easy peasy -- just need to know the dimensions -- and we can build them when I'm there, or I can bring them built and we just hang them. I'm not yet sure if there will be room in the truck -- there could be a silkie-tractor and a coop in the truck bed :)

Nest boxes (maybe 3-4) might fit in your trailor too, if you wanted to do it ahead of time. If you are coming out to multiple peoples' houses, does that mean we could split a little gas? That would be helpful but if not I'll still pay for it because I'm so excited for you to come! Do you have some sort of saw to cut into the coop? If so, I will wait on all the coop retrofitting until you are here. They aren't terribly happy in there, but it would be SO much easier if you had the right tools for the job, and the know-how!

OMGosh, we may have a lead on where my sister is. A guy called my grandma a few minutes ago, said he was at the Lynnwood Fredmyer and saw the poster. He told her that Rachel might be sleeping on his buddies couch. Yeah!!!! It is a bit concerning though cause if this guy is old enough that he is shoping at fredmyers then his buddy is older too and why would he have a 14yr old girl sleeping on his couch? Any ways, I hope it is her. He said he would finnish up shoping and head to his friends house to make sure if it is her or not.

Please let it be her, please let it be her!

I missed a lot of posts while I was in Oregon moving my mom. I'm so sorry to hear your sister is missing! I really hope she is found soon.

Dynamite will make a hole in the coop. Might be a little big -- . Yeah, I'm pretty sure I could cut a hole.

I think the idea is to have everyone chip in on gas etc. But I'm not sure I can do all 4 (5?) projects given the time I have available - even if I take a day or two off. Talk to SadieSue, Cfleming, FlyRobinFly ...

Well I'll pay our share for as long as you're here. If you can really get it all done on Saturday and then leave for their places on Sunday, I'll happily pay the gas to get you here and they can split sending you home.

OK so my girls aren't happy. They are 8 weeks old today and there are 9 of them in the 35s/f coop. If they could go outside I know it would all be just fine but since it's raining and I don't have any sort of protection for them at the moment, they are turning on each other. They are really picking on my Gold Laced Wyandotte; every single one of them is chasing her around and bullying her, yet not pecking or hurting her. My 2 Buff Orpingtons are bullying my largest bird, our EEer Martha. They keep pulling feathers off her neck! Ouch! She squaks and runs. Is this stuff just par for the course while they establish a pecking order (which I haven't really noticed as of yet) or are they that unhappy with 3.88s/f per bird + roosts at only 8 weeks old?! Help me.

I have one!!! I will bring it out right now. I guess I've just been trying to limit treats to late afternoon/evening so they get enough feed, but if this will keep them occupied I'll bring them a hot breakfast in a silver bowl at 5am!
