I did a little

I just played the sound for Don and he admitted he did think it was a bear but did not want to scare the kids. I knew we should not run and look like prey, but I was not sure what to do other than keep talking and walking fast toward the road. Those skinny alder sure were not support any of us if we had to climb a tree! It really scared me that the bear was much closer the second set of growls, he sounded extremely close then.
Giggling....

Our neighbors "next door" seen a small bear on their property last year. The worst I have seen is coyotes (and obviously hear them all the time). Mom swears she seen a cougar in our driveway last Summer. Knowing my mom it was just an oversized cat. LOL

LOVE living out in the country but definitely need to share it with the creatures!

I have a crap-ton of dog kennel fencing I want to sell. It's 8 6'x6' panels, 2 have doors. I'd sell it all for $100 if you're interested. There are a few flaws, like a dog chewed through it an the bottom but that has been repaired with hardware cloth. Anyway, it's a long shot but thought I'd throw it out there for ya.

Oh .. I'm interested.

Sounds like you and VF can work out a deal for it. But thanks for thinking of me.

OK, our Serama pics:

Here is our whole group of 7 Serama's, plus our Salmon Faverolle rooster from Cloverleaf. His pen is soooooooooooooo close to being done! Need one more day to work on it and out he goes!

This is our "Golden Laced" roo "Goldy" hatched out from stock we got from RedReiner and Jbear.

Goldy's pretty laced chest!

This is our "Wheaton" pullet hatched out from the same RedReiner/Jbear combo stock.

Oops! Hit post too soon. Wasn't quite done yet!!!

That is Frizz on the left and Wilfred again. We had 5 Serama's hatch from eggs we ordered from Castle Delight Serama's, and we were lucky enough to get this one roo and 4 pullets!

Another shot of Wilfred and Frizz with others behind.....

Frizzle pullet Lizz on right with Goldy on left.

Another shot of Lizz.

My favorites are the two tricolor pullets and this white/black one in the middle. The white/black one is Snowflake and this tricolor one is Brownie.

This is the other tricolor, Truffle. Just love their coloration. And they are soooooooooo tiny!!!

And because he's sharing the coop, gotta include some of White Locks, our Fav rooster from Cloverleaf! Jeanine, let me know what you think of him!!!

I want a dozen eggs.

Well I can definently hook you up with them, but I probably won't get that other rooster out until this weekend. I only need about 2 hrs to finish making the new run secure and then he will be moved. So eggs on or after July 7th should be pure. And they have really picked up their laying. The pile of teeny tiny eggs is so cute!

They changed it to 20 feet which is still a joke for those with small properties.
I guess all dog houses should be the same then according to these people.
To limit people to six chickens is once again a showing of their ignorance.
The constitution once again is trampled on.

Does anyone have any 8-13 week old light colored Easter Eggers/Ameraucanas available to give/sell? I think I would like 1-2. I don't one a black one, or any that look like my Martha/Lay-a. I want cream colored, white, light light tan, etc. I just want some really pretty additions to my flock who will lay green and blue eggs. Or perhaps a Maran who lays dark dark brown eggs? I know it's weird to think of my egg basket and how colorful it is, but I do
