The chickens can develop an immunity to a single type wormer. So by changing the types of wormers it reduces the chances of the chickens forming an immunity to a wormer.
its not the chickens that develop the immunity to it its the worms, also if you dont give them the right amout like less it wil also do this. Im glad you brought that up JB

I have a few places that are spongy like that and I stamp hard and shove branchs down down in the ground thinking something is down there. The place's are next to my neighbors fence she has a mess of C--P over there and I always think she should have rats..

Do rats live underground? The only *known* nest is in my neighbor's wood pile (well, besides the overgrowth on the cliff). They took a tree down many years ago and just let the wood sit. Grass grew up through and around it and it became a perfect nesting place. But... that certainly doesn't mean there aren't any other nests in the neighborhood. We just don't know where they are.

Another neighbor removed his pond - found a bunch of rat nests beneath the pond liner. I have 2 pond liners that I never installed, and I'll be honest, I'm not sure I want to if rats will move in underneath it. I'd really like to have a pond some day, but I don't want to harbor those critters.

Oi! What a mess!! My mom is flying into town now and my sister was picking her up and having her at their house first. She got in her car with their **5** kids to pick mom up and the car was dead. So she called me in a panic asking me to pick up my mom. Of course I will! Everybody dressed, quick grab your shoes let's go! Well, we reached the driveway and realized (though I did know this, just forgot) DH has my car because his truck is dead right now!!! Called DH and he left an important meeting (quite a loss of income, total huge bummer) to go pick up my mom and take her to my sister's house. I'm so bummed! What a mess this car thing is, I WANT MY CAR BACK!!!

Quote: It is very simple to make and I would gladly give you directions if interested. This can be made for very close to $10. See I use this because I brood in a large water tub and don't have room to move the light.
One can also buy different watt bulbs, and switch to lower wattage as the chicks get older.

Well Hello to every one. It's been a while since I've been on the forum. (I was 1100 posts behind, still am and I don't have time to catch up) I thought I had better say Hi so no one thinks I've gone over the rainbow bridge.
My girls are doing fine all nine of them. 7 RIR (original flock) and I added 2 Eng Orpingtons from RisingStar, that was several weeks ago and they were 10 weeks old then. The RIR are 21 weeks now and the Orps are bigger then them.
The RIR started laying about 10 days ago. Small eggs to start but progressively getting bigger. Got my 1st Large egg yesterday and they're avg 3 eggs/day which I feel is good.
Trying to catch up on some maintenance here and get in some fishing too. Bought a new boat, (just a jon boat but it gets me out on the lakes) so that brings me up to date and the reasons that I've not been on the forum for awhile.

But Miss Gabby and the nasty little pups, must have been hearing the same thing.

After the third time I caught one of the nasty little puppies with a mouse trap in his chops, right as he was going through the dog door.

Just curious, why are they "nasty little pups"?

Guess what I finally found?!!! A miniature weathervane for my coop.

I'm going to spend my birthday money that my mom sent me to buy it. Too bad it won't ship via Prime. Now I'm going to have to wait until we get back from Yellowstone to order it. Bummer. It would have been cute to have on the coop for the twin's b-day party the week we get home.

Those are so neat!! I have wanted one too!

Well, it was inevitable since Prince Will the peacock had a broken wing. The coyote got him this morning. :(

And now I can't find my last peachick.

I'm so sorry to hear this. That's horrible.

I hope you find the chick safe and sound.

The Mustang is the best visual. I picture men crying a little tear on Meridian, as you go by, applying lip gloss.

No lip gloss...I have screws and hinges in my purse, lol. But here is the visual for you. :) and yes, I got some wide-eyed stares while we were rolling down meridian. We had some jazz music for their enjoyment too, haha

Here we are all loaded up neatly and ready to head back home. The Lowe's guys are highly amused with me, I have been there three times this week. Three guys asked if we needed help this time and they looked soarly disappointed when I said no thanks, lol.

This is my daughter in the mustang, She is my accomplice for this coop building expedition. :)
