Does anyone else have an Ancona hen?
Mine is SOOOOO LOUD!! She fusses on alll day!!!

I wonder if its the breed or just mine? (I just have one)

No, but she isn't, by chance, the mother of the little pullet you gave me, is she? Flower (I think you said she's Marans/Ancona x?? don't remember) is so loud and all she does is fuss all day! Like crazy honking like a goose and singing egg songs when neither she nor anyone else is laying! grr LOL

For those moley people who wanted to see the progress on my mole...it's totally gone and feels great, smooth, and the redness is almost gone completely!

No, Ive never hatched any of her eggs. The one you have from me I think was a cuckoo maran X? I cant remember!

That makes a dozen eggs in 9 days since they began laying. Not too shabby now that I did the math! That also means that I KNOW at least 4 girls are laying as I've seen them each lay at least once.

My poor girls are beside themselves. They want out and I'm not letting them, but since the 11 weekers have so much longer to go before they're laying and need to be trained where to lay, they are out today and everyone else is in. It's been the loudest day so far with them yelling at the little ones all afternoon.

Monster-sized 83.3 pound king salmon caught at Rivers Inlet

Today, August 20, 2012, 2 hours ago

How about this for a giant-sized king!
A new Good Hope Cannery Resort at Rivers Inlet in British Columbia sport fishing record chinook was caught on Sunday that weighed about 83.3 pounds.
Guide Tyler Mills got first time angler Deborah Whitman-Perry into the catch of a lifetime and it was the first chinook she's ever caught.
Whitman-Perry was fishing off Marker 16 when the rod was slammed, and after a one-hour fight the huge king was landed for some quick pictures and then released.
On the same day another 72 pound king was caught and released as well as others in the 30 and 40 pound range.
