Oh boy! William just got into a yellow jacket nest and got stung 10 times! He's only 2!

Poor guy is a tough little booger and is just sitting watching a movie, but I bet he'll be knocked out soon. About 5 of the 10 stings were swelling like crazy so we gave him a huge (for his age) dose of Benadryl and put a baking soda paste with bandaids over the worst ones. What a rotten day for him! Isaac is leaving now to pick up some spray for the front yard to get rid of the nest. Argh!!!!!

I hope William is doing much better this morning!

I got my first egg from my barred rock about a hour ago. When I checked the box.

Ugh, I think someone was listening when I said that we could afford to build the coop and get nice birds. Our dog is spending the night in the ER tonight.

Sorry to hear about that...but nearly 13 is quite impressive for a greyhound. I hope she pulls through and the bill isn't as bad as you think.

OK I just have to share this while at the BBQ today. A gal comes over to use the charcoal grill my friends had going. She cooks her food then asks us do you want me to turn this off or does it go off automatically ?? WHAT???

Steve and I look at each other and he has this "did she really say that??

And yes she was dead serious. Even DW caught it and when the woman walked away DW asked "did she really ask abut turning off a charcoal grill??

Well he just better be careful. Now that I have this little cheap 35mpg car

I could end up doing a surprise drop in on him some time.

Okay, can't stay to catch up on the rest of the thread, I have to go do chicken chores and take advantage of the good weather to finish up some coop projects. I scored a free ark/tractor that we're sanding down, repainting and need to spruce up a bit.
