I have a question Since I have no clue about this. Tonight when I went to get that swarm. The lady told me that she had seen a naturapath (sp) and he "realigned her body chemistry so she wouldn't have allergies or be allergic to bees.

Has anybody ever heard of or tried such??

If she paid for that, she was cheated. You can't just cure someone's allergies unless you give them hookworm. But then, you've got creepy worms chewing up your intestines. I'm guessing that he didn't give her hookworms, so she was tricked.

ummm...Yeah...Can anyone show you the clinical research on that one? A double-blind, many times over replicated study, perhaps? If not, I really wouldn't risk my life on it. Anaphylactic (sp?) shock is nothing to mess with. Take somebody up on one of those epi-pens, instead.

I am going to be SO taken to task on this one, but my philosophy is, "If it works so well, what's the harm in conducting a nice scientific study to prove it?" Okay, naturopaths, come 'n get me!

My backed out ride has a music gig and it was cutting to close since the email exchange was way to slow and they never called... just emailed me even when I put my phone # in 3 times with can call or text....

Looks like 10 am tomorrow is gonna be pickup... I so want those for my garden!

Do you still need a ride?  We have a van and could help in North Seattle.  

I have to get all the rocks out of the van first which was on the agenda for tomorrow morning anyway. 

Ok so I just got a call my ride fell through again... he has a early morning teachers meeting for the music school.... he thought at noon but really at 10.....

I am hoping the metal cage which should be 4'x4'x4' panels can be disassembled so I can use the panel squares for my garden trellis!

Haven't heard of it, and frankly, I'd be leery of it.

I know a lot of folk here are big on naturopaths, but I'm a fence-sitter in-between the two worlds of medicine. I spent hundreds of dollars at Bastyr in the past and ended up with more problems after taking all the tinctures I was prescribed. Now that I know what I'm allergic to, I know why I had so many problems with it - because I was allergic to the tinctures the prescribed/sold me. A naturopath, just like any other doctor, is "practicing" on you. Just my opinion.

Maybe she was stung by a different type of bee that she wasn't allergic to. Who knows. I'd still question it.

Dunno, but a single case study is not scientific proof. If it's free, try it, but keep an epi-pen in your back pocket. (Don't sit on it, though. A needle in the rump could be a nasty shock!)
