DD and DS can remember seeing the northern lights from our back deck a number of years ago. It is an very eerie sight to see.

DD wanted to show her DH. Her DH is from the Netherlands, and has never seen them yet. Their small dog does not understand why he couldn't sleep in his own bed last night. I think he hates camping.

WA4HPoultryMom: I read the thread for the Golden Cuckoos and found this pic of one of the young roos in the thread:
This is what the Cuckooroo is looking like.
Since you have been gone, since we have had him, his head is turning lighter, yellower, and lots of gold hackle on the "armpits", saddle and neck.
He has the awesome bright green eyes and so much personality.
I have noticed all my cuckoos have way more personality than the other chickens we have.
We are trying to think of a name for him...and will snap a pic of him next time I get him out of his private condo to carry him around

DH tells me to stop babying him...but he is so adorable !
Looking for names for the Cuckooroo !

Ahhhh.so you can finally get some rest ?
Turn into a late night couch potato and sleeping in for half the day are ya ?

ahh... back to normalcy. Went to the Great Wolf lodge for a couple days with the family and had a blast! Now I'm all sore from playing in the wave pool and such. What a great workout! Wish I could do that for my excercise. LOL Hope I didn't miss anything in the last few days here. I skimmed all the posts, but that's a lot to catch up on. lol

Okay, where is Wolf Lodge? We are trying to come up with an end of the year vacation (if the truck gets fixed). I want something OUT of Okanogan County as that is what we usually always do.

It is not too far south of olympia... Grand Mound. It's right off the freeway (I-5). You pay for your hotel room and that includes water park passes for the day before and also the day after your stay. The hotel room seems a bit pricey, but when you consider the value of the water park passes, it's not bad. I'll get the link...

I had to laugh tho because on both sides of the class there are bars! Mom can go have a few drinks while the girls are learning and then I have 2 designated drivers!

We are going to the Sumner Arts street fair today. Chickielady my daughter loves your pic and says that the two of you should hook up! She wishes she had enough material done to have a booth at the art fair!

Then tonight we are getting a group of teens together and heading to Allen Yorke Park for movie night! They are showing The Blindside on a huge screen set up in the park. Super cool and FREE!!!!!

If you are in the area you should come and join us! I will be the one with the tiny little black and white dog that looks like a puppy!

Getting ready for eggs from my quackers! They are about 17 weeks old! I was going to put oyster shell out and switch to Layena pellets this weekend.

also, bear in mind that there's a fridge and microwave in the room so might save you money to bring something you can warm up to eat. We ordered pizza and it wasn't bad, but we could have brought something too...
