Ironically, I had some folks out to buy some chickens today and one of their children happened to go over by where I have a Rouen sitting on a nest. I just happened to see her this past weekend when I almost stepped right on her. I mean she was so well camo'd in with the ground that you could barely notice her while looking right at her. Well, when she stood up today we saw at least 6 little ones underneath her.

I also have a Pekin sitting on about 10 eggs and I just hatched out a bunch of KCs, Swedish Blues, and Pekins in the incubator. Still have several chick eggs cooking but no more are going in this year.

God Bless,

I had a pork chop and baked potato with yogurt, and cantaloupe. That isn't to bad, I am on my own again for the week.

Well I think I am back again ???? Have lost my DSL twice over the last couple days. And am so busy that when I finally get in I don't even have much interest in being online. Gonna have to work on that I guess.

FYI for anybody local I am going to be entering the sand rail in the "Hub City car show" in Centraila Aug 28. Ya probably won't have much trouble figuring out which one it is. Flousescent Pink with the dog seat in the back.

Well if the niece's wedding doesn't go the way I am hoping, I will keep this in mind. That way I will be long gone when the rest of the family figures out that I gone.

Hello washiingtonians. I'm looking to adopt/buy a laying hen to replace the roo i recently had to relocate from our city abode. (I live in kirkland, and ol' Rocco is now roaming with a new flock out in Duvall on 20 acres).

I'm not sure if this is the best place on byc website for such a post, but I figured i'd start here.

I currently have a Delaware and RIR, both about 15 weeks. I would love to find another layer around the same age to avoid anyone getting to beat up establishing the pecking order. Breed is unimportant as long as there will be decent egg production. We provide great care for our birds.

Thanks for looking and please let me know if there may be a better place to post besides here.

Matt

Thank you.

It should get better right? I have lost several very close family members lately and the stress is doing quite a number on me. Ugh......

This month is going to be crazy. A funeral and my sister's wedding back to back. I am very thankful that I have such a great and close knit family. We are Italian and so therefore have no choice but to be tight!

With out any doubt it will get better. It is okay to be sad, and yet rejoice. Life continues whether we participate, or get stuck in a moment. Choosing to keep living will not mean that your Uncle was important to and your family.
