WOOT! another person in Vancouver....GREAT. there are more and more in vancouver showing up on here.
we ordered our first 25 from McMurry last year. Have had a GREAT time with them, and out of the original 25 we still have 23 (one we gave away, and one a hawk got). Now we are hatching from the eggs in the original flock! And some we hatched over the winter just started laying last month!!

what part of vancouver are you in? we are out by Hockinson.

Now that you mention it, I think the first time we were in (last fall) they mentioned they could order chicks, any of the ones on the posters they had on the wall.
Totally agree on how friendly they are.

Yea they are really good about that. I was able to order the breed of duck I wanted through them since they didn't get that particular breed in with their shipped ducklings.

If anyone wants to sell me some eggs to hatch, I'd love so buy some to put in the bator AFTER Easter. My first batch is due to hatch on April 14th. I'd like some of the larger breeds, if possible, maybe just a few of those in the batch. No more than a dozen eggs please. I'm not too picky about the breed either. No shipping though, the post office scares me, lol. I live in Gold Bar. An hour drive isn't too bad, I go into Everett every other week.

Free Eggs for all my friend to hatch.
All you have to do is call two days ahead of time and then come and pick them up.
These will be your choice of color.

Does anyone around WA have BLRW or B/B/S Orps? I dont want to get from out of state if i dont have to. I am looking for eggs, chicks, layers...I dont care I just want to start adding these to my flocks.
Thanks

We are just starting to get BLRW eggs.

We have a few in the bator for a test run right now, so far fertility looks good.

We would consider selling eggs or hatching chicks to sell if that is of interest.

I have a BYC story. I was at Walmart yesterday and swore I heard chickens in the parking lot and asked my brother if he did too, he said I must be hearing things. We kept walking because we were all the way at the end of the parking lot and I heard a rooster crow and that time my brother heard it also. We were still walking and the chickens were getting louder so I knew I was getting closer. Then I saw it, a truck with a BYC sticker on the back with a cage full of little OEGB's. So now I know there is a BYC member in the area that has OEGB's, I only wish I knew who though.
