BCM to silver cuckoo gives black pullets and gold-silver cockerals, then you breed the cockerals back to BCM hens, and get the hodge pdge but keep all the barred golden cockerals and pullets, then you breed them and get another hodge podge but keep the barred golden pullets and the light colored golden cockerals
it takes a long time, and how old am I already ???

Hope you get your babies soon and I LOVE the cabinet incubator, mine is home made also, with turner and commercial heater and wafer thermostat, but DH added it all to an ugly ugly wooden box.....with a computer fan (radio shack) for circulation...and Yours is so much better looking even though you think it is ugly!!!

I've been out in the garden. Fall is a really good time to plant and transplant. It also means I spent time outside with the girls. We all sat on the deck for a while. Me drinking tea, and watching them groom themselves.

Roz laid a second egg today. I went out to check and she was singing the egg song.

Yeah I finally hit a low of 99.1. Been dealing with being way hot one second, to freezing in the next, massive migraine, light headed... My other half has more of a head cold. I think he's feeling worse than I am. Poor thing.

I dunno nuffin my brain died somewhere in the garage sale mayhem.

Anyone know someone who works wood? turning or....
I have some old fine grain stuff I'd rather sell to use for art/creation rather then see it go up in smoke.
Madrone and Cedrus Deodora (Himalayan cedar) in short firewood sized logs

I'd just use them for some eggs to eat then dinner when my pullets start laying..

OK have a issue with my big birds beating on the pullets.. Could it be because the pullets are in the new coop and I'm trying to move the big birds at night to their coop? rather then the pullets to where bigs are? Should I move the rooster in with the pullets first? or the hens? I'm at a loss as to why they continue to be mean. I've tried both the big hens and they both start being mean at day break when they can see the pullets. I've tried 1 hen and same results i'm afraid to try the rooster.
I hate to keep trying when each time I do the babies get picked on, but I really need to move the bigs and pullets to one coop so the ones in the brooder can use the older coop. So any suggestions would really help.

And lastly we made some money on the yard/garage sale and mom is looking for some hatching eggs. anyone got a dozen for $20 or less? last batch we bought was not what it was supposed to be and I'm now having to sell them at cut price since they are mutts. I can pickup/meet anywhere in Seattle area where public transit goes.
