LOL, don't worry, I would have bumped it with some sort of question, comment, cry of shock or outrage. LOL.

Well, I guess I don't have any right now... but I would've come up with something! LOL

Is anyone in Washington interested in some extra roosters? I have 2 gold pencilled hamburgs from show lines and 2 mixed cockerels, their mom was a silver phoenix and their dad was a welsummer. They are larger birds and have more of a plymouth rock type. They have yellow legs and red earlobes and all, one is a silver duckwing with some red in the wingbow and the other is a gorgeous gold duckwing. I also have for sure one crele old english bantam cockerel, might have 2. O, I also have 2 silver laced wyandotte bantam cockerels.

Also who else has pheasants in the state? It would be nice to know so we could maybe swap eggs in the spring or something.

No roosters for me, either. Surburban neighbors don't mind dogs barking but a crowing rooster... nuh uh.

I think my banty cochin made it through the downpours today!

I put a cover on their run but she wouldn't come out from under the coop. She sits there at the edge and gives me... and the rain... the banty stink eye.

Off to bed with me in a few. time change has got me all screwy. Cat is confused.

My poor hubby was out in the pouring rain finishing our new coop. That'll teach him though

. He should have been out there when the weather was better instead of inside watching TV

.

I am soooo ready for Spring! I love fall, the cold, the wind but not the rain.

Did anyone raise their own turkeys this year for Thanksgiving? Maybe I shouldn't have asked. Sorry if I offend anyone.

I can't imagine not having roosters. We have 13 so far and they all get along

. I love hearing them in the morning. Not always at 2am though.
Have a great day everyone.

WOW 13 roosters? We only have one, and probably a few more in the brooder.....dont know if we will keep anymore then the one we have

I know 13 is a lot of roosters. I have about 3-4 we will be rehoming. The rest we keep for breeding purposes.

Wild Bill is good. He quacks(hubby calls it whacking in Bills case), just about as loud as his brother. He's a character. Sorry no recent pics. I've been so busy with hatching, the new coop, the new brooder and this crappy weather. For those of you who haven't seen my special Wild Bill, here you go. I rescued him from the feed store. Nobody else wanted him so of coarse I said sure I'll take him. I just have to make sure his food trough is full so that he can scoop his food. He does manage to pick grass and eat it with the corners of his bill. It's amazing what he can accomplish with that bill of his.

Hi Everyone,
Another newbie here. I've been lurking for most of this year and finally decided to take the plunge. I am just addicted to this site, and look forward to a long relationship with BYC.
My DSL with Qwest has to be worse available, so I'll probably disappear for long periods. It's only worked for about 50 days so far this year. :thun As soon as I can I'll be switching.
About me- I'm in the Seattle suburbs; in the Benson Hill area of Renton. Have 5 hens:
Gold Lace Wyandotte
Black Australorp
Ameracauna
Rhode Island Red
White/Barred Rock Cross
I've had chickens for about 6 years now and haven't had too many problems so far. I consider them somewhere between pets and living garden art.
and a whole bunch of cats

We've got you in our clutches now!!

bheila, I love Wild Bill! I think we need a special-needs poultry contest. Next weekend, if it's rainy (ha ha) and I have time I'll try to get it going.
