Hi Uplate,

When I first saw the Washingtonians discussion, I read the whole thing too! Now I just tell the new folks to go to the end and introduce themselves. This discussion has turned out to be quite the lengthy one! LOL

I hope I met you at the show. I was the guy in the bright blue Cabelas jacket with the WBS Ameraucanas, Welsummers, Khaki Campbells, Swedish Blue, and Pekin.

I really wanted to meet as many folks from BYC as I could and I think I probably did not do a very good job of that. It was a very busy day!

If we didn't meet, I hope to next time.

God Bless,

Hey mister, I sent you an email about your Welsummers, hoping to hear back from you soon.

What's an LGD? I have my Beagle in with all my birds so they're used to dogs. It's probably just gonna take them some time to get to know yours. The Crevecoeurs are a bit more excitable and antsy that my other birds. The rooster would constantly pace back and forth. The hen is more laid back though.

They may have caught a little bit of a cold the night before I brought them to the show as I washed them, kept them in a carrier in the house overnight, and then took them to the show but they were still a little wet on Saturday morning. They're a hardy bird and I'm sure they'll be fine.

And yes, Holling (that's what we called him from Holling & Shellie Vincoeur (Northern Exposure as Satan seemed to be the only other appropriate name for him but I couldn't have The Devil residing at my place! LOL) does have a very unique crow!

God Bless,

God Bless,

I believe, could be wrong, that LGD means Livestock Guard Dog. That would usually be a Great Pyranese (sp?). I've got a dog that wants to be a LGD.

Granite Falls here...and it is WHITE out there. I'm like "where the heck did this come from?" This is nuttier than squirrel poop! My husband just got back Monday from Mexico..I'm sure (sunburned and all) he wishes he was there again!!

LOL, sorry about the sun burn. Heck, even Hyw 2 has snow on it. I brought my hen inside, yes, over protective mother here.

I think my male pit would be good at it if he was trained from a young age. As he is right now, he'd let any animal near them unless they showed any signs of aggression or prey drive. Maybe I should just leave him in the run with them, lol.
