Evidently he removed his add or something. When I try to email him it comes back to me.

His add is back again and I'm going to try to get over there tomorrow.
Thanks for the suggestion!

So we went for a hike with some friends and apon coming home a neighbor brought some friends over and they handed me a little duckling and asked me to care for it. I have no problems being able and willing to care for a bird. They said they found it near a fast moving river and that it was all alone with no nest to be found and it was getting dark. So they brought it to me so it wouldn't die. I've got it in a brooder by itself (for now) with some food and water, not to metion a heat lamp over it. On it's back it looks like a Rowan duckling, but it doesn't look like one in the face. Also, it's feet are dark with light colored 'bands' on them. We found out that it's a Wood Duckling. Anyone know if it's legal for us to own it here? I'm thinking it is, cause McMurray will ship them to WA, but I want to be sure. Who would I call to find out?

Hi to everyone, I guess you could say I'm sort of a Washingtonian.
We have seven acres eash of Tonasket on the NE side of the state.
Right now it only has a small cabin on it that we visit each year. But unfortunately we live full time on the Oregon coast. We have 2 blk sexlinks and one buff orpington. As soon as possible we will be living in Wa full time and can't wait for that opportunity.

Hi all.
I'm a long time Washingtonian that moved away for several years (exploring the world

) and am back now 'cause it's the best place to raise my family. We live in Spokane.
I started with 3 6mo hens so they would already be laying for me, but then got addicted to BYC & now have 4 chicks as well. Wish I would have known about BYC when I built my coop (so I could have gotten the addiction before I built my set up

), as I think 7 might be squishing them just a tad. Regardless, I'm hooked now.

BTW - BBOWER, welcome to Washington. I am very fond of the Tonasket area, go up there several times each year for their barter faires. It's a beautiful area, I'm jealous!

It's a hippy festival essentially. They originated as a way for local farmers & the likes to gather in the spring & fall to trade their wares & extras. Now it's turned into more than that, with plenty of money exchanged instead of true bartering, as well as things other than handmade/grown. check out their website... http://www.okanoganfamilyfaire.net

Rasmama,
Do you know a lot of people there? The reason I ask is I had two horses that someone took (stole) and I think they ended up there someplace.
I do miss them,

if I knew they where there and had a great home life would be so much better for me.

Im a driver and everytime I drive by someplace that has horse's I look for them, knowing I really will never find them. But hay its worth a try.
