This is such an addictive little hobby. Tomato Lady and I both just bought 2 Blue Andalusian chicks each. It would be a drive for you but Webster RD Feed got in 300 chicks a week ago. I thought I would be done with chicks in the brooder by now but some how they just keep showing up. I am beginning to think I might be the problem.
I haven't got a half blind chicken but I do have a Yorkie that lost his eye this summer. I do know that I am much more traumatized than Teddy is. He was play ball 2 days after the event. I am fairly sure that your hen will not care, and it might even help you be able to catch her more often.

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
