when do Magpies lay ?? I don't have to worry with two drakes . But might want to get a female. would that be trouble? two males and one female? also should I put shavings or straw in the dog house for them.

Actually, if anyone really wants to see it, it's on my BYC page. It shows what I started with, some of the construction, and the final result. My dad was so awsome to come up from Or. to help us build it.

You do not want one female to two drakes they will breed her too hard. If you want to get females either get rid of one of the males and get 2 females, or get at least 4 females. And that is minimum

Magpies aren't the most prolific layers, but they are pretty good.

For sale in Seattle: 3 buff orpingtons and their coop
I'll also include the feeder, waterer, and remaining feed and pine shavings.

The coop and covered run are about 20 square feet total. The coop, run and birds are all in great shape, but the girls have got to go due to extensive neighbor conflict.

Maybe not, being the woman of the house during holidays?

Well dinner tomorrow.. I tried to foist the kids off on one of the sitters for Friday, but no go. They're both out of town. So we will likely spend the weekend doing yard work, building coops and runs, and I think I lost my mind and promised to make Christmas cookies one day.

Not to mention the 4 weeks of homework to catch up on for my statics class.

5 day weekend what??

Also..
If anyone wants to look over the website and order a couple, let me know and I'll add it to my order.

I might be interested, since they sex them. 3 drakes and 3 hens will be bad news come spring I'm afraid. When would you need the money?

OK.... Needy Cindy needs somebody to acknowledge my Wonderful 4 1/2 month old White Americauna laying her first, second and third eggs. I think my post may have been lost in the shuffle.

I haven't had eggs yet, so my response when I saw your eggs was to post... "I'm jealous, I haven't had an egg yet." BUT... how about this... since egg laying is so awesome

My oldest batch is about 19 weeks now, although both my lamps are being used for the chicks right now still, so I haven't given them light yet.

Yes???
