tomato lady, how old are the kitties? we can only do boy kittens around here or my female will never forgive me.

Rainplace, I know one is a female, I am not sure about the other.

It is a little fluffier and I couldn't tell for sure. I think I need an expert opinion. Justbugged, you need to check this kitten out.

As for their age, I am not sure about that either. Maybe Justbugged has an idea how old they look. She has two of them.

I have this mother cat that always has her kittens outside. Then, when she decides she is tired of taking care of them, she brings them to me. The ones we have left are tame now because my granddaughter has handled them quite a bit. When Justbugged got little Misery they had just been brought up to the house and Misery was a little devil cat. Lucky Christine, that is the one she grabbed.

Usually, I bring them in at this point and socialize them, but my son-in-law lives here now and he is allergic. I would really like them to have a nice warm home before winter sets in. I will try to get a second opinion on the gender of this kitten and let you know.

No kittens for me please........at least not yet!

1 Muscovy Drake from Cookiemama just arrived today via my son and dil. I haven't had any time to even look at him much. My friend (who does my handyman work and helps with the chickens) took him to stay with him until I am company free tomorrow. But I have heard that he has already escaped once.

We went out tonight to Emily's at the Quinault Beach Casino. They have the best clam chowder. It has smoked trout in it and is really good. Dinner was great also. I had steamed clams and a crab louis...... Yummy. I haven't had one of those for years. I have been feeding all of the veggies to the chickens, and decided it was time for me to eat something green. We came home, ate a few pieces of homemade fudge that DIL brought and everyone dropped off early. I think I am the only one still awake. But not for long.

4 eggs today.... 3 of them were in the yard. I talked to the girls and told them it was not time for Easter, and they agreed to try to use the coop next time.... We will see.

The count right now is 7 green and 4 brown eggs. They are getting a little bit bigger as well, but still look pretty funny in the egg carton. Woohoo!

Thanks everyone, I will try to keep in the loop and see about meeting everyone in February. My hubby finished most of my new coop today, he still wants to paint it and add some more touches and such, but I am so excited, it is awesome!
My turkeys are sleeping on their high roost without breaking their necks trying to fly out my clear roof (oops)
My silkies and scovies are cuddled up together for the night too
The kids are out for the night, and DH is working on tiling the bathroom- we had a very nice day all in all, lots of holiday leftovers still

I am trying to find hens, I know I am in the wrong time of the year, I think I want australorps, dominics, EEs, jersey giants and I am not sure what else... I might try and find a pair of sermeras again too if I can. OOO and Mille Flours... and a book with how to spell all these breeds properly

My Landlord rented the Maltby Comm. Center for Thanksgiving. They had over 50 people. they were very happy with the place.

If ya have time ya need to stop by and see the egg my golden sexlink laid. it is the size of TWO eggs. I don't know how she pushed that baby out. maybe on Thur on your way to see the maltby center

Tomato Lady is it bad that I just googled to see how far away you are from my place. Even if you would deliver that's too far to ask you to drive. Then I remembered that in two weeks I am going to be down in the Yelm area. Then I realized that my DH would probably kill me if I brought home another animal. And since I'm trying to talk him into an incubator I will probably have to pass. If you still have the kittens in two weeks post up about it. You never know...

Port Orchard isn't too far. My daughter and family lives there and we just went to her house for Thanksgiving. She lives off Mile Hill Road. I also went up there not long ago to pick up a Craigs List free find. Christina and I just went to Battle Ground (by Vancouver, WA) to get some chickens a couple of weeks ago.

Then there was that trip about 3 weeks ago all the way to Seattle to pick up a large closet organizer for my daughter. Another free Craigs List find.

My offer to deliver is still good. I just want them to have a nice home.

Ha Ha! So now I learn why Misery is such a miserable little cat.

I am going to make her a people cat very soon, she just doesn't quite agree yet. I think the kittens are about 8 to 12 weeks old. By the way I think I have taken home 6 kittens, and I found homes for at least 4 of the them.
They are awful cute. As Ellis is over somewhere in the darkens of the family room playing by himself.

And Zhou the Chow is snoring, goodnight all.

Hippie Chickie, I surprized my husband this summer with two goats. They have turned into free range goats because they finally discovered their pen is not secure on one side. Now they lounge on the deck in DH's smoking bench.

I think it is cute. He has another opinion about the free ranging goats.

Your daughter lives only a few miles from us! I'll talk to my DH. Just don't hold your breathe.... He gets bullheaded about things and then months later tells me "ya know we really should have...."

So we will see...
