Ugh!
About 25 years ago my parents sent me some smoked salmon. I used to love dad's smoked salmon. I opened the bag gobbled down about 1/2 pound and then realized the bottom of the bag was alive- really really alive. I haven't eaten smoked salmon since.

Russ- I am proud, that I kept it down

I love comong home and reading the post for the day. Worms in oatmeal, and salmon, Ron offering to foster Nyrial daughter until 13. Really funny stuff!

It has been really crazy at work this week and I have been so busy with last minute x-mas stuff that I haven't had much time or energy to post much. But I am reading, so don't say anything bad about me.

Thanks to those who have sent money for the party already! I really appreciate it! I will also pick up paper plates, cups and cutlery at costco so don't worry about that part.

I would love to get together, RonB and justbugged, That would be fun! My DH would come, I think.

My girls made one heck of a ruckus this morning when there was egg laying going on. My two young ones were joining in so I hope they have decided that it is almost time to start laying!

Well, my brain is mush right now, and bed is really looking good, so I am going to say good night.

P.S.- Is it right to be jealous of your 14 year old? He is on break, and he slept until noon today!!!! Seriously green with envy!

reminds me of when I was pregnant with my 2nd and was craving artichoke hearts. I'd get them and eat straight from the can. One looked dark on the side and so I picked it opened and found a big fat grub in the middle with beady eyes. It was the nastiest find! ick! I still have trouble eating artichokes after that and it's 7 years later. >.<

You both have my deepest sympathy. My dad was eating some pancakes when I was a little kid. He was in a rather dark dining room. He had eaten most of the pancakes, when he complained that they tasted musty. He finally had my mom look at them out in the kitchen. They were both horrified to find the pancake syrup full of sugar ants. He had already eaten a lot of ants.

The entire family has always kept the pancake syrup in the refrigerator every since then. It's a lot easier now, with a microwave oven to heat the syrup. I am aware that the syrup had traveled with us on a trip by car from Vashon Island to Prince Rupert BC earlier that summer but still

.

So again my condolences.

P.S. I am really grateful that my Dad was served breakfast first that day.

Wait, NO, I mean, She's really SWEET Ron, really. Total Angel. I only went through half a case of duct tape with her as opposed to a full case with her sister. How about a Package Deal?? I'll throw in a rooster or 4.

I wish someone fostered my middle daughter but we had to live thru crap with her and still do at times. It seems they never go far away with their life mess. But I still love her no matter what I got 2 sweet grandkids from her so that makes up for some of it.

My mom would probably say the same thing (I'm the middle and gave her two grandkids, lol!)

She always told me I was her problem child in high school. I was always confused by that. I went to school every day, worked 2 jobs, didn't drink or do drugs, didn't have a boyfriend (because who needs a bf when you have horses??), volunteered 15-25 hours a week at a therapeutic riding facility, and maintained pretty decent grades.

Now that she's heard horror stories from her friends about their teenagers, she finally admitted that she had it easy.

Roflmbo now she knows it was easy......I finally told Dave I was getting more chickens. I want to have colored eggs again. What color eggs do they lay anyway? I use to get pink and still do but the others were blue and a pale green.
