We enjoyed meeting both of ya too. I decided it best let rainplace enjoy them for a bit. I know where she will be Feb 28 now all I gotta do is figure out which boat to get on. OK gotta go have lots of work to do on the new duck facility.

On a different subject I REALLY NEED TO line up bator. I can't buy one so I am looking to borrow or if one of you pros would be willing to hatch 6 for me I would really be thankful. It is not a sure thing but I may be getting 6 dark eggs here is what they are "wade jean c1 bloodline from the copper king." I have no idea but they are supposed to be expensive. I will post more IF I win.

Wow! You guys were very talkative while I was gone. Lots of post to read. So, can I say that Ron has got to be the nicest guy ever, besides my DH! He checked on my girls every day I was gone. I knew if I left Lola injured with no one looking in on her I would have worried a lot. He was so nice to offer to check and make sure she was ok while I was gone, and he even collected the eggs and didn't steal any.

Not that he needs anymore in his fridge! Ron, I was so happy to hear about Kayla, I told everyone in my family what was going on and they were happy too, and I will get those pics up asap.

I was so bummed that I could not go on the road trip to Corvallis! It would have been so much fun! What did you come back with? I gotta know!

On another note, my neice got two female dwarf hamsters 6 days ago, and brought them with her this weekend. We were just getting up and getting ready to have breakfast this morning when we heard a lot of squealing in the cage. My MIL looked in and then yelled, "There are babies in there, we have babies in there!" The two were kind of fighting over them, so we seperated the one who wasn't the mom, so they wouldn't kill them by moving them back and forth to different places. Suprise! She was obviously pregnant when they got her. So instead of two hamsters, they now have seven. Pretty funny!

I also wanted to wish everyone a happy New Year!

I just have to mention this. That movie, Avatar...... go see it... it was really good and out where i live we dont have 3d but it was still good. i really want to see it at the imax....

the navi remind me of the native americans....

the movie plot reminds me of an animated disney movie... ferngully? but way way wayX8343430643897397 times better....

right about now i really wish i had a tail i could swish about happily.... not sure how a tail would work with skiing though....
sorry. i just had BR31 and i am on a sugar high............ wheeeeeeeee!

They do have a habit of doing that you know. We had the same thing when my girls were little. Got them hamsters and then found out one was a boy and one was girl but we had way more than you did......13 that included mom and dad.

We seen it too this last week and it was awesome! I want a tail too!

You're all making me as nervous as a long tailed imp in a room full of rocking chairs.

Good Morning, Washington!

I had a great time getting to know Anna and her little bundle of joy. I was amazed at how well her little girl handled such a long ride.

I ended up with three Oregon Mini Geese and six black east indies. Pictures will be incoming soon. The gander messed himself up pretty bad last night and there was blood everywhere. I had no idea who was bleeding and one of the girls wasn't looking to good. So I popped him in the bathtub (which is where he's at right now) and have the two females caged. They don't look so bloody this morning, and both of the females are standing up. Dunno how I'm gonna get them less wild for showing at the end of this month. Dunno if the gander will even be in good enough shape. We'll see.

It was great to meet Mr. and Mrs. Chicken Rustler! I'm grateful to the gods that look over waterfowl that I left the parking lot with all my ducks in a row.

I'm off to see how to deal with the geese. Just spent the morning grading and tagging my black east indies... now it's time for gloves and a thick coat...

Hi Back!!!

The holidays have sure been nice and long. But although I don't work as many of you do, I am glad to be able to get back to a routine tomorrow. I hope everyone else had a great time over the holidays.

Found the source of my allergy. Luckily it is a chemical, and not a food. And not eggs. Yay!

It promises to be a reasonably dry day today. We shall see. Looking forward to spending more time with the girls, and need to do the last touches to bring my chicken yard up to the new ordinance. Have to install a fence next to my 8 ft tall fence between me and the neighbors. Chickens must not be within 10 feet of the neighbors fence at any time. Dogs can be, but not chickens..... Go figure!

Everyone have a great day. Can't wait to see all of those promised pics.

Thank you Birdybird for offering up some of your chooks. I went out to the garden when I got home from work and spent some time with them. They are lovely friendly birds. My girls are in love with them. one of the orps already laid an egg.
