Gee I wonder it Amethyste lives at the same silver lake that is near me. That would be a nice drive to rustle EE's and I already know they are laying.

LaSombra FYI keep in mind that my neighbor and I will be ordering chicks this spring and already plan on about 25+ so might be able to add some in for you if interested.

Ron I am very happy to hear about Kala. Would you still like to have the item we discussed with name only? Please let me know soon.

I don't have such good news on the home front today. Our little OEGB buggs just died. She had not been looking so good since that very cold weather hit. Today was the end. With the loss of buggs I couldn't leave woody (OEGB Roo) all alone so he is in with the flock learning to be a big chicken. We have been checking on them and he seems to be doing OK. He is playing very submissive so I think he will be OK. I know some may think it a bad move to put Woody with the flock since he was with bugs but they have been together and he shows no signs of ill. He is a little ball of fire. Woody is doing good with all of the other chickens and my Buff Brahma banty Roo. It is Peepers my little OEGB hen that is kicking his but.

Ooh Great! Bonnie and two Clydes rowing their way to Everett and all points north to rustle up some layers. Can we swing by Spiffy's after the party please. I got me a hankerin' for some cream pie!

I have taken two weeks off for the holidays and you guys apparently haven't! There are pages and pages to catch up on.

Rainierlass, I live on the Graham side of Eatonville near Camp Arnold. I have way too many chickens and am getting about 20 - 24 eggs a day right now.

Since I had company for two weeks I have to catch up on chores in the coop too. I will try to read through everything in the next day or two and see what I missed. Justbugged keeps me up to date on all the important issues.

KM Hunter, I will be going to the party as far as I know. Probably my son-in-law and my granddaughter too. They are both chicken people.

Thanks, Thats the BEST $50.00 I EVER spent in my life. we got her when she was six weeks old. My daughter (keri) picked her out of the litter. she had little brown legs and was solid black when we got her. She is pretty much deaf. she can't hear anything behind her.
She was on chicken patrol and coyote watch when those pictures were taken.

I can always tell when she sees a coyote. She gets up and heads for the house

LaSombra I don't know yet where we will order or when.

Ron She is beautiful. However I am not talented enough to be able to do much with a straight on I need more of a profile.

My day just went from bad to S... ! After putting Woody in with the flock we had been checking and all was well. We checked just before dark and all well. Came in ate then I had go to the stable to pull a shoe off a lame horse. Went right after that to make a final check and see where Woody was sleeping. He was GONE DW and I both looked all over the coop and run sevaral times. There is no feathers or signs of any trouble. I checked all of the barn. I kept calling him cause he will talk to me. No answer. I got flashlights and spent the last 3 hours checking the trees and calling. No luck and flashlight batteries went dead. I have batteries charging and will get back out. I think it is gonna be a long night cause I plan to go until I find my little friend or until it gets daylight. I also told both of my good neighbors that if they hear or see him call me. Woddy is just starting to crow. He is not very loud but due to his funny sound he will cause people to stop and listen.
This has been such a bum day
