Hey Rustler,

I didn't read the whole thread, but here's some info.

If you google Wade Jeane (any spelling) you'll get lots of hits, but I cannot find a Wade Jeane website. I did pick up that the c1 means pure-blood descendants from the original imported french chickens.

Imp-congrats on winning the eggs

OMG, I'm in love with pheasants now... I'm in love with the koklass, the brown eared, the peacock pheasantl, the monals (STUNNING!), impeyans (ALSO STUNNING!)! Eagle, you didn't put any breed names with your stock, (you should go back and do that!) I was wondering what, this one was:

I absolutely love love love it. I love it so much in fact, I want to read up on them and see if I could get a few...

Both of your all's stock is amazing.

Imp Yes I found a couple of sites and the eggs are VERY dark. I was not able to find "The Copper King " but found others thatlisted the same line. They are selling them for about $50.00 FOR 6 I am beginning to think that I may want to keep a roo if I get one in the hatch.

rainplace Those pics are awesome. Several years ago I went to a small resturaunt in Oregon and they had glass all the way around with diff breeds of pheasant. So basically every few tables got to see diff breeds. It was really cool the way it was set up.

OK, funny story from this morning:

The dog locked me out this morning! lol I was out doing the rounds with the chickens/cats and when I came back, she'd jumped up on the door and turned the deadbolt! Benny (my 4 year old) was asleep inside and not waking up with knocks. Luckily, I found an unlocked window. I had to move a table over to climb in cause when I tried to just jump in, my arms hit the sides of the window. ouch.

haha, this is the type of thing that would happen on a sitcom! *giggle*

oh, but good news... my hatching eggs are at the P.O. right now! yay, they just called and I'm gonna go pick them up (purebred blue/black/splash ameraucanas!)

I have those stupid locks where when you turn the lock on the handle, you can still open it from the inside, but from the outside it won't turn. WTH were they thinking when they made those sorts of locks? I bet whoever invented them snickers every once in a while imagining people like me getting stuck outside, or in the garage, or...

wait for it.....

THE BATHROOM

hey, quick question to anyone who's ever bought hatching eggs in the mail. I got 8 eggs in the mail. 3 were broken. 2 were cracked and 3 were intact. Should I even attempt to put the cracked ones under my broody or will it just make a mess? and... I candled them and the air cells are not at the end of any of them. They're just floating free. Is this OK? Will they go back to where they should? I put them into an egg carton for resting with the big sides up...
