There's someone up north, Mikeyb, who sells wooden shipping crates in different sizes for $70 a piece. You could easily turn one of those into a low cost coop. I got a smaller one from Kim, cut it in half, and am using them for bantam coops during the breeding season.

I'm hurt you're not even thinking about ducks.

The tubs that I got from DELS were $59.99 ea.

I should be going back to work next week, knock on wood!!!
I would be willing to come over and see with help what you have going maybe even bring some birds if you have feeders and waterers for them to get you going.
If you have anytime this week I need to know asap!
You will not be disappointed!
Or?...........
Barnevelders or Marans maybe crosses that I am not into......
The sooner the better.

This is a one time offer and I will not be giving birds away.
Mikeb if you are working and need arrangements to meet up I may not be available.
I recommend My help just to get started......FREE OF CHARGE...........ONE TIME!

If your into to this, You may or may not like my opinion, but it will be very functional

PM me if your interested

Speaking of I just took our last 4 to the sale yesterday. They actually sold for a pretty good price $40. each. But then I learned the sale is taking 30%

Have never had that happen. In the past when we took goats to the other sale (that is now gone). They charged $4-$5 per head. And to make it worse when I dropped the goats off I asked what the fee was. The guy told me O I don't think he's charging anything. I told him well he has to make money some how and I know NORMALY they (others) charge about $5 per head.

Auctions are a great place to give away your hard earned $. That's why a new place to sell your small animals as well as other ag procucts has been set up in Chehalis. Over the past 2 Saturdays I have been able to keep $141 of my money out of the auctioneers pockets. Here's a web site, check it out.

I will be back to possibly buy again soon. I will be excited when it grows bigger, too!

Quick question, do you have to have certain certifications to sell poultry or eggs? I'm not sure what's necessary for that type of thing...

Yep, it is cardboard off the pallets.didn't know what they were called. I went out and measured them. they are 4' x 3 1/2'. Some are heavy cardboard ( like a cardboard box) some are a lighter weight like a real heavy construction paper. I like the lighter ones best. after I use them, I just burn them.
Are you going to be able to come to the party? I could start saving you some if you would like. just let me know

RonB Not wanting to crowd in on Mikeyb but if he doesn't need / want the cardboard. I will be at the party and would like some. Put I think I would look into giving the used to my neighbor to compost.

Mikeyb I don't think you will be dissapointed in the birds you get from eagle2026.

Last night I did a in my head head count. It was scary to discover that we now have 42 birds on the ground, 7 eggs due in a week and 6 more eggs coming. Plus I want to hatch some of DN's olive eggs. A good thing is that I will be getting rid of the hay that we no longer need. That means the whole center of the barn will be open to build more brooder pens.

Hi Washingtonians!

Just a quick fly by to say that if anyone is looking for Welsummer or Marans cockerals I have lots of them free for the taking. They will be available this weekend. A person must come pick them up.

These are purebred birds.
Black Copper, Blue Copper and Splash Copper Marans cockerals available are B. Davis birds.

If anyone is interested PM or Email to make arrangements or get directions.

Have a great day everyone!

Kim
