all but 3 are completely dark inside but for the enlarged air sack...the other 3 are clear but for sloshing ( a one stinko ) and no diffenite air sac, no peeping heard.
Humidity down to 56% and I put the eggs, all but the 3 clears, back in.
If nothing happens I guess tomorrow I will toss them out, lesson learned, but more determined now.
I should have listened to my better judgement 2 weeks ago when I was worried about so much humidity that droplets were on the windows and I have never seen that happen before.

Never had to "regulate" the humidity before, in most cases we had a hard time getting the humidity up high enough !
I am going to try again.

I have not heard a peep today.
I am not sure I heard any yesterday could have been a bird outside or an active wishful imagination.
My hubby said it was all in my mind as he heard nothing.
Several times during the day yesterday I hollered at him to stop whistling !
When I jus now candled...think they will shrink wrap after being so humid ?
Gawd !!!!!!!!!!!!

The eggs are dark, solid, cannot see any movement, all dark.
Hope I didn't shrink wrap, but at this point, it is all falling apart and I am looking for new hatching eggs, I want welsummers, splash and blue or FC marans.

They get shrink wrapped even if the humudity is high. I would say if nothing happens tomorrow, chuck em. Otherwise, wait and do NOT open the bator again.

There are quite a few Black Copper Marans breeders here including myself, but I don't have eggs available til summer.

That is very true.
But it is kinda hard to build coops and plow gardens in the pouring rain with a 2 and 4 year old . Don't really want them to be out in it and get sick.

I think I got the humidity under control.
Expensive lesson.

I took the sponge totally out of the bator.
The humidity here right now is over 70% in the air, so I am watching the wet bulb and it seems fine now.
Hopefully, all will go OK...I just read a thread where the guy did n't have any pips until day 24, alot of people had the same problem from this cold, low temps make for a longer incubation time.
Have never had this problem nor any shrink-wrapped.
Hope it never happens, sounds bad !
I am not going to touch these eggs again for 4 more days.
Hopefully none blow up.

I have a two and four year old. It's hard to plow a garden and build coops when it's sunny.
ETA: I find that a generous use of Duct Tape comes in handy

Egg hatching question...if tomorrow is day 19 should I still turn the eggs tomorrow or not? Last year I only had 1 hatch out of about 10 eggs. I have 5 in the incubator this time. I hope somebody hatches!

Chickielady
Im sorry to hear your having such a hard time, I would give them a little more time.
I have BC Marans and when I incubate them I go 30% for the first 18 days than up it to 55%+ but no higher than 70%
Good luck and if you want eggs soon we have some.

ChickenSal
Id stop turning them now.. Good luck with your hatch..
