if you look me up i have a thread going somewhere on here about my broody hens.... so far it looks like i only have the 11 eggs under the standard brahma that might have any chance of hatching. i think those 8 eggs died when they got wet from the rainstorm. but till wednesday i will keep them undermy new broody coshin
Hi Reimirraa: I love your quote of the chickens are trained to come to the sound of your subaru. Too funny. I will go and look up your thread and read up on how your hens are doing. I just bought chicks...they are 8-10 weeks old now. I don't remember w/o looking at the calendar. All BR. I just love them. I am hoping next year maybe we can let some hens set on eggs...but I better read up on how first. I hope your 8 eggs did not die, that would be sad. The weather has been nasty, though, hasn't it?

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
