someone I know is looking for a few ducks. I don't know anything about ducks, but she wanted something not too small because she doesn't want the eagles to be so likely to steal them away. A runner ducks very big?

OK. All you people who have been posting that you're interested in Polish- I don't have too many extra birds right now but I just helped Elizabeth Kowalski cull her chicks and she has a TON of extras in ages ranging from 1 to 6 weeks old. Her birds are all originally from my show stock, who came from Marsha Peterson in Virginia. She has white-crested bantams in black, blue, and chocolate, both sexes and some younger chicks unsexed. Her email is [email protected]
She also has 1 nice adult pair: blue female, black male. The male is lovely but overprotective.

They are fairly small. Quick though!

Hi guys, I candled my 7 royal palms and got 3 clears, 1 addled, 1 a question, looks like a fertile egg but has quit, and 2 look like they are OK.
SO, ow I need fertile royal palm eggs asap or poults pleeeeeze !
Way my luck has gone, of the 2 'good eggs' one will die and 1 will be all alone

I told DH that I had to go shopping today and stop at the PAWS, dog shopping.
I even went to the feedstore to look after a ice lilac or tree to make me temperarily happy cuz we know what happens tomorrow at 8 in the morning....

I told him I was going to buy something I could not afford and has to be something I do not need (can't be like underwear or something useful you HAVE to have...

)
And he agreed....if I have to put my best friend in the ground I want something nice, now.
So after looking all day I decided I may as well buy some more hatching eggs, he agreed....but want to buy these eggs from someone here in WA as all the orders I have recieved so far shipped from out of state are 3/4 or more garbage.
There has been several orders I have gotten that were 100% garbage, thanks to the Post Office, and Bargain in Georgia packs the eggs so well it takes me an hour to unwrap them, still she thinks they are X-rayed when they go through the big P.O. terminals, where they scan for guns, etc, what do you all think ?
Know anyone who works in a P.O> ??
Know anyone who has royal palm eggs ?
Or Illia ?
She was to have blue egger eggs soon ?
I need a hatch going to have something to keep my mind still....

I drove about 3 hrs south down to Longview a few weeks ago for eggs. Backyardfarm is the username of the lady here on BYC I bought eggs from. She has Lavender Ameraucana both LF and Bantam (from John Blehm) + Lavender (Hinkjc) & BBS (Bamachicken's) Orpingtons. I think she has Maran's too, but I just got the Am's & Orp's. I would highly suggest her. My eggs are due to hatch a week from tomorrow. I've experienced the same as you in having eggs shipped. This is my 5th hatch this spring, and so far the best, and I think that's because they were not shipped!

Good luck with finding local eggs and a new puppy.

We had to finally toss our Muscovy eggs. She had been sitting on them for 7 wks, and the coop just reeked. I was so sad taking them from her!

Chickielady - My heart is with you and your dog. I had to 'make the decision' with two thirteen year old collies (2 and 3 years ago) who's arthritis finally got the best of them and they could no longer get up or stand. Both times it was soooooo hard. Our poor new collie puppy had to fight extra hard for our hearts, but he's finally filled the void and is loved deeply.

I have two white-crested (standard sized) hens and would be interested in a Roo that would be a good pairing - don't know how the genetics work.

did you take her eggs and give her nothing ?
I always have taken the eggs (dumby or otherwise) and give the hen SOMETHING>>>give her ducklings from the feed store, guinea or turkeys or something !
I will write down backyardfarms...thanks !
You are all awesome !
