Ok So mama abandoned the remainder of the eggs today. I felt so sorry for the lone chick that I just had to go to the feedstore and purchase three day old chicks so that the baby would not be alone I bought two blue cochins and a black cochin. Mama took to them very quickly and now they are one big happy family
This is in regards to the Snohomish County 4-H Poultry Program. In the past, we have sold Christmas Wreaths as our primary fundraiser. Our Poultry Superintendent for the county, used to make them with her husband and the kids would sell them. Her husband died 2 yrs ago, and so we no longer are doing wreaths.
This year we are holding a Garage Sale Fundraiser to fund the county wide poultry program. It is our ONLY fundraiser this year. It is in Maltby this Saturday (5/29/10) at the Hidden River Middle School off Paradise Road from 9:00-4:00. I hope to see a LOT of you there!!!!
