Hello all! Does anyone have two month old pullets they would be interested in selling anywhere near the Seattle area? I am almost finished adding on to my girls' coop and run and had to sell my three adult hens because the integration with the younger girls didn't go well, so now I have all this space and only a few chickens.

I'm open to a lot of different breeds and I'm willing to drive half an hour or so for a pretty chicken or two.

It's also okay if the pullets are not exactly two months. I just want them to be coop-ready and not full grown.

Thanks! I can't wait to hear back on this one!

Jess watch the humidity on the turkeys and try to keep it down to about 50% or so, they seem touchy with humidity.
This is my experience here in wet washington.
You sure the chicks are peeping and they have so far to go ?
Usually a day ahead of pip you can hear them...sometimes I hear the birds outside and think it is chicks peeping.
What day are you on ?
I lock down by the 18th at the latest...and would not hear peeps until about the 20th....unless they are developing early, is you bator for sure set at 99.5 or could it be higher ?
A higher temp would mean shorter incubation time.
I am so paranoid about it I have 3 thermometers per bator.
In the on going process I have bought and thrown away about 5 both mecury type and digital types that some were up to 10 degrees off !!!

That is death to your eggs !
Hope your hatch is awesome !
I have 26 chicken eggs in my bator, guineas in the second big bator/brooder and about 15 French Blue Marans in the BIG outside brooder.
All get rotated about every 3 weeks.

lol that chick that was peeping pipped! Today is day 18, ya my temp was a lil high by a fraction of a degree.......

Still no more pheasants out of their shells though.... but looks like a few are trying to zip! YAY I will keep an eye on the humidity for the turkeys.....see what happens

turkey hatchers say 40-50 for the first 20-23 days then up to 65% when they stop turning.
They also say turks cannot see well the first week or so of life.
Make sure they know where food and water is or they can sit there and starve !
One guy says he always adds a tiny bit of brown sugar to his water the first week or so, and they usually do 1/2 game bird feed (higher protein) and 1/2 amprollium chick starter the first few weeks.
Some do higher game bird and less chick starter...everyone is different it seems, but all agree on low humidity !
That is the big challenge here in wet WA.
Good Luck !!!

I MUST like challenges! lol

Ya the turkey eggs were a gamble, I only paid $5 for a dozen so I am not TOO worried, but I would still like to hatch out 1 or 2 lol

I've been running pretty dry hatches (unintentionally) and had good luck with my last batch. I think I ran 35-50% during incubation and then 55-60% in lock down.
Hard to keep a handle on humidity all the time when you're gone from 5am to 3pm or later.

Maybe it was just beginners luck though.

That sounds excellent !
Oddly, when I first start up the bator, before I had a chance to add water, it was running at a steady temp of 99.5 and had 50% humidity in it!!!!!!
That is due to our humid weather...so your "dry" hatches were not really dry !
I was almost scared not to add water tho~

Drunkdog, thanks so much for responding so quickly! I just got word from a lady in Snohomish who apparently has 8 week old Welsummers, which would be my first choice, but if she doesn't end up having a pullet left, I'll check back with you. Thank you!

Im doing well. My head is almost all healed up, just have two little bruises left.

Ive been lurking this week, as I have been oh so busy out in the gardens. I let the youngest babies out to run in my yard, and they absolutely LOVE it! I'm pretty sure that I have at least to roos. Im hoping for one Polish roo, and a Silky roo also. I think I will take some individual pics of them and ask all your oppinions today. That is if this rain stops for a bit today.

Thanks for checking on me!
