One of my LT Brahmas has gone over the edge as well, much more in the "zone" than the others.
I could wear her on my head like a hat all day and she would just sit there and not move.
I had to pour water on her beak yesterday and dunk her beak in the bowl to get her to drink, finally she kinda 'woke' up and slowly wattled outside to poop and streatch.
She had not been out or poo'd for about 4 days !
Guess I have to remind her daily.
AND>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GUESS WHAT WE HAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have heard odd "screams" now and then over the past 6 months, maybe 3X. (make ALL your hairs stick out ! and not like a coyote, sounds like a human screaming !!!Scar---eeey !!!)
And found scat that resembles large cat doo...not buried either.and teh 2 weeks ago I spotted a big cat sitting way down our driveway, about 100 yards, with BIG TALL Ears I remember seeing so much pink from the ears looked like pink horns on his head ....
never occured to me it was a bobcat until I saw the plaster cast DH made !!!
And since the logging, DH has spotted tracks, and yes mam' it is a bobcat !!!!!
Felis Rufus in the flesh !
How cool is that ?
Now, hopefully it does not bother us or our livestock,,,thank Goodness I am raising Guinea fowl !!!
We have a Cougar that runs our area in the fall / early winter. Has a sceam that just makes your skin crawl! Sounds like a women screaming, with a snarle added in... When my daughter was 4 months old, that darn cat sat outside my house and screamed for an hour or so! Was told by my neighbor, to be carefull, because they are atracted to the smell of babies... Not sure if thats true or not, but it was enough to keep me on alert.
WOW, I think that is an old wives' tale about them smelling babies, but how creepy huh ???!!!
On line here, both cougars and bobcats have territory, up to 5 miles square, and they walk it every day, all year except in the coldest areas, like Quebec...so be careful ALL year !
